There's only one thing to do Flip. Invite TT too, so he can keep Happy And Geo in check

Mission Impossible…...those two can't be kept in check...... :astonished:

I couldn't find our last discussion thread, so I thought it best to create a new one based on my disappointing experience this morning.

Previously I advised you all that the Woombye Bakery served great meat pies. But this morning after sampling another Beef & Mushroom Pie, the mushrooms were still raw and hadn't been cooked through.

With the Tigers heading to God's Country in a couple of weeks, you should all know that this bakery is no longer Official Endorsed.

Happy Eating!

The crocodile pies at Fredericton taste all chicken, that they are being fed. Not special at all. Terrific Uncle Tom pies at old Pacific Hyway outside Mullumbimby.

Had a Garlos for the first time today…for a mass produced supermarket pie they are pretty good...chunks of meat and flakey pastry...

Byron Gourmet PIes are fantastic, Asian and South American flavours as well as traditional ones. Won stack of awards. Can buy wholesale at factory if by the box of a dozen.

when in China decades ago one bro had the mortuary and the other the dim sim shop - when you can guess what took place. I think they executed them don't know if there was a third bro - you can guess why

I'll be in Gosford on the weekend so i might call in to Bremens at Umina. Home of supposedly the worlds hottest pie.

Just drive down the road to Beefys at Palmview Aussie World, best pepper beef pies ever. Then have a beer at the Ettamogah Pub to wash it down !
Or the 4 hours to the Travellers Rest at Gin Gin

We do stop at Beefy's every now and then for a steak pie, but I prefer a Pie & Peas from Barry's Aussie Battler cart on Caloundra Road.

Barrys Aussie Battler is hard to drive past. I live a couple of minutes away and stop in 2-3 times a week.
The little Mrs.always knows when I've been there because half of it is down the front of my shirt!

Was up at Tenterfield during the break between Christmas and New Years and had a tomato and onion federation pie at the Kitchen Garden Cafe.

10/10.

If you are well travelled, the Robertson pie shop is very popular amongst travellers and locals, well situated before you travel down the Macquarie Pass to Woollongong…Also the bakery in Bright Victoria has some sentational pies, from venison to curry pies...delicious....yum yum...

Have to stop in at a Beefy's one day , never tried it

It an awful thing living in a town that doesn't do a good pie :bawling

Beefy's is good, but it depends what style of Pie you enjoy as its full of chunks of steak.

Personally I prefer a mince pie [with a hint of offal], but up for most types.

I made a Pastry the other night with Lamb Rump & Tongue… Beautiful!!!

I don't know if it is still open , but there was convenience store / fish and chips shop on Gap Creek Rd at the roundabout that did the best chicken pies

They would sell out by smoko , that's how good they were

Same as Travellers Rest if your not their by 1.00 pm forget it , might get a sausage roll (which are damn fine as well ) if your lucky
