Player Dramas in the NRL

The person doing the video?

I'd imagine from a legal standpoint since they were in a private hotel room on private property they had no right to share the video defaming them?

The NRL should know what literally everyone knows....

And that is drugs are rife throughout the game.

More drug incidents than any other sport in the country it seems.

Cocaine isn't a joint or some wippit teen experiment stuff, it's a heavy substance.

They should really crack down on this.
Routine drug testing and one strike You're out rules.

It's a bad look for the game and the kids looking up to these guys.

I'd prefer the government legalise all recreational drugs and tax them. Might help us recover a bit of the money dished out during covid.

Then the Government would have to dish out heaps extra cash for Mental health issues.

It'd never happen.

You're right though.

Drugs destroy your brain.
More Rehab centres would be needed too.

Always a Silly suggestion.
Legalise it !
Yeah so people can destroy their brains and health.

It's happening....overseas.

Starting with marijuana.

Other countries are trialing lsd, mushrooms, mdma etc for people with depression and other mental health issues. With success.

Appreciate there may be more cases of mental health initially, however the government will receive billions of dollars through taxes, which they can spend on education, similar to tobacco.

Not sure how old you guys are, but when I grew up, pretty much everyone smoked cigarettes. You could even smoke in planes, trains and automobiles. Through taxes and education, barely anyone smokes these days.

Having said that vaping is on the rise.

Just my opinion.

Yeah I see the green is legal all over the US.

Can't see it happening with cocaine tho.

Anyway, I reckon it should be illegal.
Rolling the dice with your life.

People are buying heroin and getting fentanyl and dying every day in the US.

No thanks to drug use.
Seen the effect up close that it does to people even something like smoking weed that some may think isn't that bad, can cause a lot of damage.

![images (2).png](/assets/uploads/files/1632800674576-images-2.png)

A lot of deaths from drugs is due to buying from the black market. This is where they're cut with other substances etc. Your example is case and point.

Each to their own

Yeah, people should buy from a respected and trusted seller ??

Cmon now.

Yeah is that the guy with the grim reaper tattoo on his neck?

I'll draw a line in the sand right here - people making light of this situation and drugs in general can expect to have their posts deleted. There's a reason why narcotics such as cocaine are illegal. It's not a trivial drug and people that manufacture this crap kill thousands of people every year without thought or regard for the consequences.

The drug game.

Built to ruin people's lives.

Both the dealers and the customers alike.

Anyone who's been involved in it and came out the other side will be the first one to say its a mugs game.

Not worth the prison sentence or the damage it does to one's health as a user.

I'm with ya willow.
Seen casual stoners turn into legit lost souls.
Functioning somewhat but memories fried, personality changed.

And this is young men.
Started young, never stopped and now the damage is done.

If you have a drug problem, please seek help. A lot of resources available.

Too right ....seen drugs take my brother and brother in law ...wouldnt wish some of the crap my family went through on anyone ....old man came back from holidays twice and his workshop was empty .....3/4 tonne lathes gone ....just not small stuff ....

Rothfield saying Storm management is showing no integrity. The funniest thing I will hear all week. Can’t stop laughing. Should of been a standup comedian.

You do realise as far as that drunk is concerned "integrity" only applies to the teams that he and Scammo dont support

I don't get some people. The old "who hasn't tried it" or "the bloke filming is a grub", or my personal favourites " you can't prove its cocaine" or " you don't actually see them doing anything" etc etc.

Are you for real? Why are the minority in society always quick to come up with excuses? Illicit drugs are a problem. It is not the majority and this might surprise you, it's a minority of weak willed people that do it, and don't have the balls to stand up and say NO when the pressure is on.

What about the wankers doing it in the first place? Personal accountability!

Paul Vaughn got a worse fine from a BBQ......I guess he was part of the wrong team though

I just cannot believe the journos are not hammering the Storm players for the drug behaviours over the last couple of days. If this were the Tigers there would be articles and articles per hour.

The advantage of being in Melbourne, even though they were in QLD, they are isolated from the Sydney press. Same as why you here crickets when its the Broncos.

Do you really expect the journalists owned by News Ltd to hammer the Storm that are owned by news Ltd ?

News Limited sold the Melbourne Storm to a private consortium around 2013 I believe (could be wrong on the date). The current owners are: Matt Tripp 50% Bart Campbell 30% Gerry Ryan 20%
