Player Dramas in the NRL

I don't want to jinx it, but when it comes to off field incidents the Tigers have been one of the best behaved clubs in recent years. Every other week a player from some other club is getting caught in drug or sex scandals or something, but the worst that's happened here recently is a bloke getting a breath of fresh air on a balcony for ten seconds. Even better when you consider how young our squad is.

Wasn’t it last year josh Reynolds and Luke brooks were caught with coke? Maybe the year before not 100% sure. Other then that we have been pretty good though

What kind of punishment does this kid deserve?

It's an illegal drug at the end of the day.
Lot of people, use it recreationally when partying however this kid is in the spotlight.

Like I said, I doubt it was the first time...
I'm straight edge and very anti drug, but I'd be leaning towards mandatory education and some community services of some kind.
Keen to hear other peoples opinions.

My experience with this stuff is a bit different - if he got caught with a couple of hundred grams, well that's a marketable quantity and his career would be over. A gram for personal use, well it is considered a performance enhancing drug as its a stimulant, but he may be looking at a similar situation to Xerri and miss a couple of years...

No idea. If the NRL is serious about illicit drugs he will.

Kyle Lovett was caught in possession of 0.4 grams, he was given a good behaviour bond - don't recall if he even got suspended from footy?

He was punished by moving him to the centre for a game.

So long as no women are being assaulted or abused I kind of don’t care what these idiots put in their own bodies. It’s not a good look, but it was a relief to read that the mobile footage wasn’t of a sexually violent nature.

They have had nothing to let their hair down and celebrate

Haha good point. But still, numerous Dragons and Broncos players have got in trouble this year without anything to celebrate. We've signed a few formerly wayward players who seem to have kept on the straight and narrow here, so I think we can credit the club for looking after them well. If for example Roberts and Leilua had been getting on the drink and getting into fights at nightclubs our club would have been crucified.

The NRL should know what literally everyone knows....

And that is drugs are rife throughout the game.

More drug incidents than any other sport in the country it seems.

Cocaine isn't a joint or some wippit teen experiment stuff, it's a heavy substance.

They should really crack down on this.
Routine drug testing and one strike You're out rules.

It's a bad look for the game and the kids looking up to these guys.
