His kicking got better when he followed Farah's lead.

Apart from that it was poor. Finding a player on the full most times, bombing the in goal in the wet when a grubber will almost always earn a repeat set etc

Both of them took some time to adjust to the conditions, Farah was just a tad quicker, albeit with about 25 minutes left in the match. Farah was putting chips and bombs into the Melbourne in-goal in the first half.

the kicking game from both was a mixed bag….same for the storm, I thought benji was generally playing a fairly controlled game when you consider its benji.

Big turning point for me I think was Liam getting to the ball ahead of cronk to save a try.....coulda been 12-10 but we turned them away

It was a great team performance.

The kicking game was very good for the most part. There were a couple of kicks that were off the mark but for the most part Slater was retrieving the ball out of the left corner.

There were several passes including a bullet close to the line that Lawrence was never going to take in those conditions. Benji does not seem adaptable, nor calculating. Instinct and adventure are fine, but you have to temper that with common sense. His kicking game largely consisted of the predictable mid field bombs or a flatter variety that inevitably went straight to an opponent. I grant you that he started using his noodle when the game needed closing down, but overall his kicking game was poor. The captain kept the ball away from Benji for a period and our field position improved. I may have had the rain belting down on me and been wearing multi focals, but his shortcomings were obvious.

If believing a player with his speed and footwork should be making a whole lot more than 19m, then yes, I'm a hard marker. $1m a year is a lot of money for a ball shuffler with an errant kicking game and a taste for untimely creativity

Against broncos we were 30 odd missed tackles. Against raiders, 17\. This time, 13\. Absolutely brilliant
