I've been watching the Tigers for years and I can't think of a dumber call that I have ever made. I thought this guy had to get dropped after the first round this year.

He has been great since then.

I think this shows Sue is much better suited to playing tight than out wide.

I have to give Lovett a wrap, I have never rated the guy from previous performances, but he just played good simple footy. I honestly think he is ahead of Santi, he makes cleaner tackles.

I couldn't believe how good Lovett looked as well. He may be a quality first grader and suited to the backrow.

I would also be inclined to play Sue as a reserve prop/lock. We should have Woods, Galloway and Taupau playing there as starters and Sue, Lodge and Ava as reserves. That gives us good options all game.

Sue seemed to pick up where woods left of! Its good to have a capable prop replacement, makes a nice change

It sure is! Looks like Sue may have found his true position

What are people thoughts in Lamar. Didnt have best game?

Also. I was at the game and couldn't tell… Was lovette try a forward pass?

He was alright. Played in a crucial jucnture of the match where the dogs had the momentum and rolling out in defence. Still early days for him. He has a lot of upside.

I noticed in attack he was playing very flat as in not running onto the ball. But he was even hard to stop without running on to the ball. We seem to have lost some momentum when lovette come off. He was playing very wide the whole time. Would of been hard being on bench for so long.

If those status from Sue are legit then he's just displaced Galloway as starting prop imo.

Nah keep him on the edge protecting Moses. A starting pack of

Woods
Farah
Keith
Sirro
Sue
Tapau

has some great balance about it. Starting to love our new backrow.

I was very impressed with Lovett too, both in attack and defense. Santi went well the first two games, but not so in the last two, being ineffective ruining the ball. Lovett deserves to keep his spot next week.

It was unimaginable that after his break out performance for Samoa in the 4 Nations that the majority of the forum wanted him in reserve grade after a couple of games.

What it all boils down to it seems is his positioning on the field. 100% he is better in the middle third, either lock or prop. As an edge back rower he has power and potential but it doesnt come as easy. No doubt he will get there though if Taylor persists.

Its great to see players step up when the big name(s) are out
Sue did exactly that

For the CL dislike club, well we all know he is nowhere close to his best as a school boy prior to the injuries but he has heart.
For a bloke who has had those injuries he is not shy from putting his body on the line, making a tackle or taking a hit up.
When Benji had shoulder issues he was a protected species, you cant tell Lawerence is scared of getting hurt by the way he plays the game. Takes a lot of courage and he has my respect.

Well ahead of Santi for my tastes. Had a few tough calls to make in defence and took the right option.
