Players off contract - other clubs

I think we need 1 Domestic Prop and a seasoned Halfback.

Scott Logan or Kade Snowden would be ideal Domestic Props for the Tigers at an average price.

Scott Dureau wouldnt be that expensive for a 7 either…

Developing our 20's and NSW Cup players should still be a strong focus, especially with the NSW Cup Teams merging next year...

I'd rather Finch then Dureau… I honestly believe he would be the perfect player to have inside Marshall...

Tru, but he is getting on in years and would be alot dearer than Dureau…

The benifits may mean we dont get poor Referee decisions with Roberts little boy wearing the Black & Gold??!!!

Definitely worth a play for Dugan. We would not be the only ones that is for sure.

Josh Perry would be a good pickup. Haven't seen much of Tolman, but sounds like he has impressed many.

I would go after Snowden. If the sharks let him go they would be crazy.

**IMO we should stay away from Inu and Mateo. Not consistent enough for my liking.**

+1

They both strike strike me as lazy defenders. Inu in particular looks like he lights up with the ball in his hand, but watch him defend, he looks like he'd rather be 1,000 miles away.

Tolman and Dugan would be great buys, but I reckon with their current form, their asking price will inflate well above what they're actually worth. I can see whoever picks them up will be paying overs.

You're right with Snowden, could be another underrated prop we pick up from Cronulla. I'd like Luke Douglas as well, the bastard never gets injured so you can guarantee one prop position every week. Having said that if we did sign him, and he'd probably snap his leg in three places 10 minutes into his first game for us.

inu would give our right wing some more spark imo..but once tuiaki comes back it wont matter anyway..we just need another prop

Only Props

Either of the Cronulla guys

Dont Want / Need Tha Parra guys - To hot and cold (We got plenty of those already)

As for a number 7 - He have Lui and Moltz

Tim Moltzen is the answer at halfback. We dont need to buy a number 7\. We need a 2 more props.

I still think Jason Cayless can come up with the goods when he is fit.

Huh? Who says the NSW Cup teams are merging?

I was of the understanding that the Wests Tigers will field a team in the NSW Cup in 2011\. I only pressumed that they would merge both BRET & Wests?

I've heard it suggested but I've not seen anything to say it's happening but I confess others in this forum are more up to speed with state cup matters.

A lot of talent off contract. Not sure who the marquee player is that Sheens will target though. I know we have literally dozens of quality backrowers but I really wouldn't mind somebody like Neville Costigan or Lagi Setu or Sika Manu, you know, someone with plenty of agro and starch in defence. James Tamou looks pretty powerful and doesn't appear to have the shortcomings that a lot of rookie forwards of his size and build have. But somebody like Jeff Lima or Josh Perry should be a priority.

Setu signed with roosters today so he wont be coming over

No big loss. We already have enough people who rush out of the defensive line under pressure and miss their target. I love how the SMH article suggested Setu leaving freed up room for Ben Hannant. Are they serious?

They paid $400K for Folau, I wouldn't be surprised if Setu was being paid overs either.

I almost forgot that Ben Teo and Lagi Setu both went to the Broncos the year after getting beaten on by Corey Payne.

Must have left the state in disgrace

I'd still bet Setu's contract is a long way short of what Hannant is asking for. If not the Broncos made one of their worst decisions in signing him.

No doubt. I was merely remarking on their ability to sign players for more than what they're worth.

Setu was on $120k at the Broncos.

Thats been printed at least 3 or 4 times by the DT since mid March. As far as I know, he has still yet to sign with anybody. I haven't seen anything confirmed by the Roosters.
