Just had a look at St Helens to see if Brown could bring anyone with him. Very ordinary looking team although I don't know much about any of the pommy's

Theres two that i would take, Mose Masoe, and Alex Walmsley would put some real steel in our pack.

As you said it's a very ordinary looking team.
He's done quite well to have them at the top of the ladder.
Still not sure if he's what we need though.

Bryce Gibbs is off contract and without a team for next year. He is a cult hero, and would add depth and experience to the squad.

he wont be bad in the 2nd row imo to protect brooks on the edge. im just not sure what he offers in attack though.

and he's only 29! geeze he looks older than that

i had a quick scan of the player movement article on foxsports and two players caught my eye: tom symonds and mahe fonua.
i think symonds is a good player who would be a nice addition, but not sure if i have the right guy in fonua? is he the centre? i could be getting him mixed up with harris, but hasnt he been playing centre for the storm in the nrl this season and been doing well?

I understood that Bryce Gibbs had retired officially. I can remember contributing to a thread about it.

Tom Symonds is very talented, though I would have thought Manly would want t keep him if Watmough goes, as has been rumoured. Symonds is good at backing up, scoring tries, Steve Menzies type. He is not a tackling machine like Fulton.

Woods, Taupau, Lodge, Ava and Masoe would be an unbelievable front row rotation.
Don't know when Brenton Lawrence comes off contract but I wouldn't mind seeing him in our colours either.

watched the warriors u20s side last weekend, cant remember there names but the centre, who played like hurrel was great and a big frontrower. neither would cost a lot now and i believe they will make great NRL players. they may take 6 months maybe a year or maybe be up to NRL standard next year but its worth a shot, if they can be signed for the right price, remember the warriors has signed hoffman and are after matai, so these kids are up for grabs.

You're right "bp" The Warriors Under 20s have some very talented, fast, strong and skillful players coming through the ranks. Would like to see our club recruit some of them. Nathaniel Roache and Solomone Kato are the centers names.

Don't forget he's always injured, hardly ever on the playing field any more.

Exactly they don't need to be good over there to win the comp is so poor. Which is why Brown would struggle as coach here
