why did we keep jamming in when a pass over the top was always a chance (or should I say left the door open) and we kept up the same in the second half?? Bizarre..

Two things make you jam in off a wing.

1. Strategy - coach has identified an opportunity based on video
2. Lack of trust in your teammates

Given how flimsy our right edge has been all season my money is on number 2.

Edit: make that both edges

3. Panic through lack of communication and concentration

2 and 3 are correct but related. If you have trust you don’t panic.

The problem on the wings definitely starts in the middle. They are often left with 2 or 3 on 1 with no help coming across. It’s impossible to make the right choice under those circumstances. Come in and the opposition throws a long pass and score and they get criticised for not staying on their wing. Stay on their wing and a short pass is thrown and the opposition score and the wing gets criticised for not jamming in. They are on a hiding to nothing at the moment.

Nofa rushed in a on 3 on 3 situation and ended up inside his centre partner on Friday

He’s had plenty of practice. Was probably shocked that it was 1 on 1 and didn’t register. Lol

Poor guy went to Ruse Public School and they never taught him to count numbers.

Also lack of pressure from our inside players on the opposition halves giving them way too much time to create attacking plays, where causes problems for our outside backs.

Correct mate I would change our second rowers in a heart beat.
