Talau is just not a first grader.

It has been Nofo's move forever, sometimes its justified as we are out numbered.
I can distinctly remember 5+ situations were he has jammed on short sides for no reason and got caught out.

Nofa does it so often that I can only believe that he's instructed to do it.

All wingers at all clubs are told to support their centre if they go in,the FB/cover is supposed to look after overlaps

Support their Centre? Nofa rushed in so far he was inside doueihi on the last try.

I nearly threw my remote at the screen when Nofa did that.
Beggars belief a first grade winger with 150 NRL games under his belt still still does that.

I learnt not to shoot up on my own goal line like that in under 13s...

He’s incapable of learning.

I think most of this team have no football nous at all......could that be the real problem ?

Of course.

Douhei looks like the only player with some pedigree.

It's hard being a fan.

^ This. He's very much a 2021 clone of Blake Austin. Good players but often try to do too much alone.

I think they're poorly coached. But Bellamy could coach Nofo and it wouldn't make a difference. He's incapable of learning and he's made the same mistakes his entire career. He's a liability.

Defensively he is a liability. He also is great when we have the ball. We gotta accept him for who he is.

We shouldn't have signed him for 4 years.

I thought it was too long as well and probably too much money but I don't see this as a massive issue.

It's like Brooks. Sure we could do better but these guys aren't the reason we are an average footy team.

I think we have two pressing issues in our squad. We lack some class players like RTS or that Walsh kid and we lack enough solid first grade outside backs.

BJ, Nofo, Talau are poor defenders and make mistakes. Nofo is the best of those players by far. Doueihi to me should be in the halves and he has to work on his defense as well but his defense isn't as poor as the other 3.

We need some quality consistent outside backs and a class player.

He wasn't alone but we win that game last night without Nofa.

Really. I didn't see that at all. Talau and BJ were the massive problems last night. BJ offers a lot with the ball and is Nofo like in that he adds as much as he takes away.

I reckon Talau has some ability. He has a good running game and can do something with the ball but he has a lot of mistakes in him and defensively he makes the same mistakes multiple times.

I said he wasn't alone. Without any one of those guys we win last night. Nofa is one of the worst defensive wingers I have seen, just because one of the ones that is worse than him is on the other wing doesn't make him any better. If Nofa didn't play last night we win that game.

Easy to say, but who do we play in place of Noffo or Tommy, we don't have anyone.

Zac Cini was sacked Cini after one game that must have destroyed his confidence. Apart from giving Zac another go, I just don't see too much out there to run with.

Still can't get over us giving Noffo 4 years.

What were we (they) thinking.

Game plan against Tigers'-

Crowd Brooks and AD-the only serious attacking weapons.

Kick to Talua,- suspect hands and defence.

Nouffa comes out of the line, and does't slide.

Watch Joey, hard to stop close to the line, goad him and he will make mistakes. Poor lateral movement.

Mbye , predictable and poor defender.

Just spread the ball wide, they can;t defend.

I think Mbye is generally a pretty good defender, but agree 100% with everything else that you have said.

coaching fault or player fault...who knows, but its another loss when it could have been a win..

And just as a comparison, the Sharks Drags game last night highlighted elite player fraud...
Norman on 800k and Hunt on 1 mill couldnt position themselves to put the sword to the Sharks and paid the penalty with a loss...
Norman had 2 goes at finishing them off and couldnt get the job done with 2 very poor attempts at FG...800k should make sure he knows his job and should have finished them off....

Isn't Norman off contract???? Come on down

I would happily fly up to sydney each week and do video sessions on the opposition’s attacking, defensive weakness right down to individual players for our team and thiers but provide solutions that need to be followed.

Some of the things I see in our Tigers side is basic game plan management. Compressed defense works well against teams who don’t use there backs. Outside in teams need a fullback to direct the defense to hold the space between others to prevent the middle holes open.

The dragons with Dufty out will use 2nd edge block plays. Bash/barge then hit the centers. They won’t use outside/in or spread flat plays. There style on past few weeks will suit us if we can hold the middle and mark our center man. If we mark up we are ok. Sounds simple but BJ has no chance of doing this.

Move the half to the centres and now he doesn't get no ball either.

No hate on Brooks, he played well last night.

Apart from Talau's lack of pace and football nouse, he is not prepared to chase hardwhen a break is made. It is too easy to leave it to someone else. He watched Murchey run past him to score.

I saw that clearly. He just slowed right down and let others do the chasing. He is definietely not first grade level, centre nor winger.

Mbye doesn't offer anything.
Why any other club is even considering him is pure insanity.

Why we even offered him a contract when he was at the dogs was insanity.
He really hasn't even shown anything too amazing.
I just hope we can walk away from him without a big loss, financially and just close the chapter.

The guy isn't a tiger, he's barely a footballer.

Joe O has looked like a great find.
He was out having breakfast with his family and the Douihei family this morning.
These are the type of people we want.
Hard working talents that believe in what were doing.
Bring some really good culture to the club that it's self should be built on good culture.

Not pretenders turning up to get paid.

Douihei, Paps and Suli ... should've all been nurtured through the juniours and made priorities.

This is what does my head in - and it was the same with the Kepaoa selection(although we didn't really find this out until his last game), but he's a bloody centre. I admit he's a beaut finisher and all, otherwise he doesn't tick many boxes for what it takes to be an NRL winger. Just too slow and error prone.

Have no idea where we go but something else needs to be tried when our team progress and results are going backwards because of players stinking up the backline.

Respectfully disagree Earl. He crabs sideways more often than he goes forward, his defence is absolute abhorrent and his ability to finish a try is marginally better than Robert Jennings (but worse than George). His ability to get a 4 year extension at good money is one of the great rugby league cons of all time.

I think he’s close to the worst winger in the comp

And just as a comparison, the Sharks Drags game last night highlighted elite player fraud...
Norman on 800k and Hunt on 1 mill couldnt position themselves to put the sword to the Sharks and paid the penalty with a loss...
Norman had 2 goes at finishing them off and couldnt get the job done with 2 very poor attempts at FG...800k should make sure he knows his job and should have finished them off....

Isn't Norman off contract???? Come on down

We've got our own $900k halfback who couldn't position the team to beat 12 men.
