The _'investing in the future'_ reason for player clean outs make sense and puts the mind at ease regarding the front office and their decisions of late. It's actually a little bit exciting to be honest. However the reason for the poor performences on the field this year still is a mystery.
Injuries have been terrible and also the positions that have been affected. Guaranteed more than 60% of our attacking plays practiced in the off season were down our left side with Benji, Ellis, Lawrence and Tuqiri. The left side has been ripped apart all year.
But still I am not talking about our performances in regards to skill or personnel, it's the effort, commitment, passion and drive that we as supporters expect and deserve. One week here or there when the players are a bit off is excusable and understandable.
When it carries on for this long, its when we start to ask these questions. Personally I would love to see Robbie or Benji put there hand up and declare to the fans that the rot is going to stop and we will see a different Tigers team for the rest of the year.
They could lose every game for the rest of the season, but as long as the effort and commitment to each other and to us fans is on display, I couldn't care less, I will still turn up next year and renew my membership and support my team that plays football the hardest and best that they posibly can. If the crap continues on the other hand, I know that I will not be the only one questioning my level of support and commitment in 2012.
