Hopefully the powers to be on both sides and the general electorate are mature enough to get on with this .

For years my wife and I have wondered how many of the people in our area, presumably on similar incomes, can afford to have a house with a pool, two new cars sitting in their driveways and travel interstate and overseas for holidays.
The answer is that many, many people are way overextended with loans to the max. Those people would have been successfully scared by the liberals campaign. The bit they didn't figure out is that unless they can dig their way out of debt quick smart, pain is coming their way anyway and the liberals cant stop it.
Stupid is as stupid does.

I vote a certain way because I fundamentally believe in one parties motives, ideals and policies over the others. Others disagree, that's fine. The only thing that gets my back up is when people make elitist comments that suggest people are snobs or bogans for daring to have a differing opinion to theirs. I'm yet to meet anyone who is always right.
@Abraham said in [Politics Super Thread \- keep it all in here](/post/1014063) said:@Balmain_Boy So Liberal voters are either rich snobs or backwards uneducated bogans, who were too stupid to see the reality of Bill Shorten's messianic genius, and got hoodwinked by Rupert Murdoch?
Gee, talk about unhinged. And salty.
Ever stop for a minute and think people think differently to you? Have different priorities than you? Don't want big taxes and big Government interfering in every aspect of their lives? Ever think that alot of these same people are probably much smarter than you are, too?
There is a reason that Federal Labor has only been in power for 6 out of the last 24 years. Maybe you're the one being hoodwinked and not seeing things clearly.

If you do, then explain how Franking Credits are a subsidy rather than the normal workings of a tax system where tax is **not** paid multiple times on the same income?
