But the really obvious ones I 'rate' are paying $5.5 billion dollars to buy zero submarines (plus the early contract termination fees), billions of dollars in Jobkeeper to businesses that didn't require it (and haven't been required to pay it back), sports rorts, carpark rorts, purchasing land worth ~$3 million for $30 million, hobbling the NBN which will now cost more to remediate 'properly', the $20 million 'incentive' payment of taxpayer funds to facilitate the port of Darwin to Chinese interests...

A compilation of 1016 examples, with references is available here:

An extensive list.
I read a similar one regarding Labor when their last run ended. They’ll earn their own after this term…
As I said, no matter who gets in, we will be stuck with a bunch of lying politicians who will waste our money and sell their arse to the highest bidder.
For me it came down to leadership during the past couple of years. Australia was dealt many bad hands and the Federal Government mostly stood up. Did they do a great job? No. but they did do a good job. In contrast, the Labor dominated State governments were poor, locking internal boarders and speaking in a Xenophobic way about their fellow countrymen for a year and a half. That hasn’t sat well with me.
Im sure I’ll be on the losing side today but this collection of alternate government members fills me with little confidence.

Does anyone remember when Scotty from Marketing was doing work experience in the Treasurer's Office in 2015 and advised Australians to not rely on the age pension. Basically Australians should not expect to receive an aged pension when they retire. Take that knowledge to the ballot box today.

On the more human failings rather than outright corruption:

- PMO backgrounding/threatening of a rape victim and her partner after media coverage broke about her treatment in Parliament House.
- $4 Billion disaster relief fund not provided to flood victims in Lismore. 'Saving it for a rainy day'.
- "I don't hold a hose mate".
- "It's not a race". Abject failure at procuring vaccines which extended the lockdowns massively.

They did a terrible job during the pandemic and delegated the hard work to states, which is why they're trying not to bring it up. Frydenberg played politics and shat on his 'fellow' Victorians throughout and I dearly hope he is replaced with the independent candidate tomorrow as a reward for this.

We shouldn’t automatically rely on pensions.
Government can’t wipe your arse forever…

Then there is Angus Taylor, Angus Taylor and Angus Taylor. More water rorts on top of the other water rorts and Barnaby with the so called drought envoy fiasco that the PM's office refuses to answer FOI demands. Listening yesterday that he also had a useless plot of land that just happened to be opened up for fracking and then large profit.

The worst thing of all is this government prosecuting a whistle blower case and going after the lawyer as well in a veil of secrecy. To the point that the accused and their representatives are not even able to hear some of the evidence against them. No justice under this regime.

How have we gotten to the point where there is no transparency and almost no accountability in government, yet people will still vote for such? My answer is primarily Rupert Murdoch, who was dogged in his relentless attacks over decades until we have had Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon, Johnson and Morrison as leaders. One's who outright lie to varying degrees and with his media know that dog whistling is enough to attract votes, particularly amongst other than young males.

True Tiger was asking for his tin foil back please…

Antony Green saying a hung parliament is his best prediction right now. I hope so, neither Liberal nor Labor deserve to win, they're both rubbish.

Strong swing to Labor in WA which is now coming on line. Pre-polling votes were counted from 9pm. Looking as though Labor will form Govt in its own right.

Australia has become a much more secretive and corrupt country under this government, fact.

Yet all that dog whistling has finally kicked Morrison in the arse real hard tonight as progressive Australia (the true quiet ones that have had enough) have drowned it out.

A great day in Australia's history as we move back into the 21st century following a hiatus of 9 years.

I don't care, it has been a triumph for modern Australia either way and even Keneally struggling in Cabramatta, as she never should have taken the spot in the first place over the local.

If I drank champagne, I would be popping the cork now. So Jack and coke, along with an odd Peroni here I come.

A great day and after seeing the overwhelming amount of Liberal advertising in Dobell and Robertson on the roads to rugby today, so happy to see the seat of @Yossarian fall as well, creating a Liberal free Central Coast.
