The only real winners are The Greens.

Roughly translated Austalia is the loser.

Yep…...The Greens benefit from the protest vote and Brown carries on like they campaigned well and deserve it.

I wonder how many people truly understand some of their ridiculous policies as opposed to "Well I dont like either of the main parties so will vote to Save the Trees".......Ignorance wins out.

Minorities with leverage scare the hell out of me.

I don't understand why Tony Crook is being counted as a Coalition win. WA Nats are NOT in the federal Coalition. He should really be listed as "other". It would be good to see Wilson Tuckey gone though.

 Scraping the barrel.

Well get use to it…

My prediction the Ranga will retain control with a minority gov but as soon as the crap hits the fan like trying to make a policy adjustment..... :deadhorse: we will be back to the polls....Whooooooopeeeee

Look it's not but if you don't want to have a proper discussion of what's happening fine I won't bother. I'm actually raising a legitimate issue when every single seat is going to decide who forms the next government. I know it's easier to just whack in a smiley face but please join in the discussion and argue your case.

I agree for the record and think Labor will negotiate better by holding the NBN as their ace card…I wonder how much that will actually blow out to when it really comes down to it.

Before coming to govt. they told us it would be closer to 5 billion.

No thanks, I much prefer to go fishing - especially when I catch big, fat, juicy ones…

Yeah I get what you are implying and if it makes you feel better that you think you hooked me in, good luck to you. There are a number of people who'd rather discuss what's happening with other people with an interest in politics.

Yeah I find it hard to see either side holding together a working majority for three years. Katter is too much of a loose cannon and hates the Nats. If he's one of their 76 that's a problem as is the WA Nat. One of the reasons he won is that he wasn't part of the Coalition. Could all depend on ALP winning Hasluck or Brisbane and getting to 74 + 2 left leaning MPs in support.

Interesting times ahead!!

Yeh, look, my apologies I was just having a bit of fun. Nothing personal.

Some people get so 'hung' up on this sort of thing…

No worries, no offence taken then. Was that a subtle hung parliament pun there?

It's a draw….bwahahahahahaha............

Golden Point ?

Well it's going into extra time and they could call another election for next month. Imagine that. There is a poll on yahoo if you think they should call another election http://au.news.yahoo.com/polls/popup/-/poll_id/56247" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Agree that this will probably get them over the line due to the country boys being wooed by the NBN.

They have no idea whatsoever what the total cost of the NBN will be, I've heard that the materials alone will be up around the mark that they have mentioned.

Happy with the result as long as the minority government is formed without liberal scum

 Your happy with a minority government?

Tells me just about everything I need to know.

BTW the only scumbags involved in this election were your union mates Howse and Shorten who so publically assasinated the PM.

Labor only has itself to blame.

If the GG's role is compromised, should the Queen make the call?

Interesting facts re the election:

Out of the 14,088,260 people enrolled to vote, only 10,413,604 people registered a formal vote.

Out of the remaining 3,674,656 people only 622,095 bothered to show up and vote in formal or donkey.

Therefore there were **<big>3,052,561</big>** Australians who were so apethetic about this election they couldnt even be bothered getting off their arse and visiting a polling booth, give or take a small percent for those who have recently died etc….

If ever there were an election where your voice would have been heard this was it and 22% of the population didnt give a stuff. You watch them all whinge when they want something though........

 I agree 100% Stryker….people dont deserve to vote....

We should go down the USA road and not make it compusory...

Then we can form a strong lobby out of WT Fans run on a NBN platform.......and make some money

Some of them probably thought they are both as bad as eachother so didn't bother.
