No, any normal person would be offended.

Nazis murdered millions of people and tortured children for fun.

Would you be okay with me calling you a pedophile because you disagree with me here? C'mon, don't be a snowflake .. sit there and take it.

If i was saying things that could be percieved as me being one, then you'd probably be justified. The perception of what you say is what is the point.

**So MagpieCol has sprouted opinions that could be perceived to indicate that he likes killing Jews and torturing children?**

I think this argument has passed you by quite quickly.

Just accept that its a rubbish thing to do and carry on with your life.

I'm not saying that, nor do i think the person who used the term would say that. I would say the term was being used loosely.

Anyway, this isn't going anywhere. Good day to you.

Loosely calling someone a mass murderer … lol

Have a great day.

That's why the previous few posts confused me.

Only reason you would be confused is if you don't know what political correctness is.

Yeah, but aren't liberals always being told they are snowflakes for being so easily offended. It seems the last few posts the shoe has been on the other foot lol.

You just confirmed that you're confused because you don't know what PC is.

PC is avoiding telling the truth about something, to avoid people getting offended. Like saying terrorism has nothing to do with islam, or being transgender does not make you more likely to be suicidal. And yes, people on the right despise these types of lies.

But calling someone a Nazi because you have a difference of opinion is not anti-PC. It's pro-Moron.

At best its sick demagoguery, and at worst its shameful slander. If your go to argument is to call someone a Nazi, then you need to re-assess your values, or buy some IQ points from somewhere.

PC is not avoiding telling the truth about something to avoid people getting hurt but is to avoid saying hurtful things that may involve stereotyping, traces of racism or don't recognise and appreciate the difficulties that certain types of people have had in life. Such difficulties could prevent them from reaching full potential and then are stereotyped for not reaching full potential. The ones who have suffered are being victimised for being different or less achieving when there could be strong reasons for being such. The most maligned in this country is usually the Aborigines.

If I recall correctly, weren't the Jews the first people regarded as terrorists when trying to hurry up the British to hand over parts of a country that they had no right to, in the form of Palestine to them?

I don't condone calling people Nazi's, though it should be remembered that ridiculous austerity and penalising measures placed upon the country as part of the armistice a hundred years ago likely seeded the movement.

Maybe a few parallels could be drawn. It is recorded in the Old Testament that the ancient Hebrews used terrorism/genocide against the Philistines Canaanites to get Palestine in the first place. That is the story about God making the sun stand still so that Joshua could finish the massacre. That same claim, that God gave Palestine to the Jews still cause eruptions to this day. International boundaries can't be conducted on what a party claims God ordered!

Another parallel is how the Germans took revenge of their suffering (3m die of starvation in a few years) on the Jewish people being copied by the Jews taking revenge of their suffering at the hands of the Germans out on the Palestine people.

I have come to the opinion (maybe from Jared Diamond) that behind most conflicts is the battle for resources, look how oil has skewered international politics over the past one hundred years. And look at point 3 of the Nazi platform: 3\. We demand land and territory (colonies) for the maintenance of our people and the settlement of our surplus population.

It is over population, also fuelled by medical breakthroughs such as vaccines, that is causing so much conflict around the globe. Some people shocking hoped that AIDS and/or Ebola virus would cull the population??? Just as we do myxomatosis to the rabbits.

Funny, I heard one feminist offer that PC started as a joke. When someone offered a view that wasn't exactly in line with a political theory, they would say "that's not PC".

Beyond that, you have had racist say racist stuff and try to claim that they can't say that because it isn't PC.
Really you can't say racist lines anymore because society is beyond that now.

Oddly no one has commented on ScoMo latest anti Terrorism measure.

https://www.2gb.com/at-risk-muslims-could-get-free-opera-house-tours-in-an-anti-terror-attempt/

What a Great idea, find locals who are potential terrorists and de-radicalise them by giving them free tours of our Monuments. What could possibly go wrong *sic*.

Your first mistake was listening to a Feminist. Surprise surprise, she was wrong.

Political Correctness as we know it originated among the Soviets, was utilised by the Nazis and Mao, and has been a tool of the left to suppress free speech and strangle public conversation ever since.

Its got nothing to do with rudeness or racism. It is a tool to get people with opposing opinions to shut up.

Why go to the effort of cultivating an argument or examining your own opinions, when you can just call someone a Racist or a Homophobe, and end the conversation right there?

And before you disagree with any of the above, i think you're a filthy racist and your homophobic opinions have no place on this forum.

Yea, it's got to be a fake glittery golden Nazi styled bottom bunk!
Just offer it as the most luxurious bottom bunk in the world and Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon will take it. He may try to get you to pay for him to stay there. Hold your ground, negotiate hard and watch the guy fold.

Wow. The inmates have taken over the asylum.

You people really must change the channel and your fakenewspapers.

Agreed. Disgusting and ridiculous statements from people on a football forum of all places.

Since when has it been okay to call people Nazis - Genocidal mass murders and child torturers, the likes of which the world has never seen before - just because you don't agree with their politic opinions?

Actually says a great deal about the people throwing those sorts of insults around.

It was a joke

Col takes pot shots at me , I at him

If he was offended I apologize

Build a bridge all , get over it

In Col was famous words

:crazy :crazy :crazy

Some people realise they are being rude or insensitive but insist on spewing out their pettiness and hatred. People must be pretty dumb if they don't realise when they are being rude and insensitive. They should ensure that they only mix with their own low level and not to pass it on to their children.

$100.00 says even you have trouble deciphering what you just wrote.

It is so simple. At a recent party an old red neck says "I hope none of you guys are PC and then spewed out racist jokes about Aborigines. Others out of ignorance don't realise when they are being off colour - they should think would they say that if the defamed person could hear. Hopefully they would still say it and get a lecture on empathy. Now where is the 100 bucks? I will donate to the Lebo Atheist Society.

She was there, unsure if you were even alive then(I wasn't). I can be certain that you were not hanging around Feminist circles listening to what they were talking about. So why are you talking like an expert when you really know Zero about this… Guessing you heard this off an "expert" like alan jones or tim blair, etc... They have Zero knowledge about most things they talk about and jones lead a premiere Balmain Tigers team to second last! They are lost, don't talk about stuff you really don't know.

I really wonder if you are a Tigers fan at all? Honestly you post more about politics then the Tigers. Most people here won't care that you mix up Nazis and Soviets borrowing ideas off each other at a time arguably 30ish years before we see the term even mentioned! Saying stuff like that is more ambitious then Warwick Kappa wanting to box Wendell Sailor. As we see the scomo government rush encryption laws to silence us and our right to a private conversation, you say the sillyness above?

Where were you when Wests Tigers fans were booing little johnny howard at the 2005 NRL grand final?
