Potter re-signing tonight/tomorrow

All this talk about the board not being set up , what the hell is the NRL up to ??

This club needs direction NOW

I'm going to honest , when I heard Blocker say this it really concerned me

Have the NRL got another agenda ??
 
What had Bellamy or Robinson done before they started coaching?

Not much either.

Im a bit more open minded than most I guess, or maybe Im just over the whole soap opers…. Parish seems to have been painted as the big bad boogey man these last 18 months, dont get me wrong Im not gunning for him...Im hoping Potter remains, but if by same weird strange highly unusual twist that seems to go hand in hand with the WTs board, if he does in fact get the gig I'll give him the benefit of the doubt to start with before criticising.

As for farah being bigger than the coach and having no respect for him from the start...well that wouldnt surprise me but no player is bigger than the club
 
I think Robinson and Bellamy walked into a coaching job with little or no dramas at their respective clubs. They where a candidate that was chosen. Parish on the other hand must have photos of someone, for his name to come up again, having achieved nothing to my knowledge in the recent past. How could he handle a club like ours with a apparent history of a boys club. He is also overshadowed by my Balmain greats. It would be a waste of time, for us a waste of years. Oh well that's my 2 bob.

I am over all this rubbish about sacking the coach. If Potter is dumped, after everything he has done for the club and under massive duress, then I won't renew my membership in 2015\. It might not make much difference as I cannot afford a large membership package but it is my way of showing my disappointment.

I will support the club, I always have and it is my number 1 interest apart from work and family, but I won't renew my membership as a protest over the rubbish this board have put up over the last 5 years.

Potter does deserve an extention. He has done a great job.

Im sure mayer has the best interests of the club. have some faith in him.

if potter leaves it will be the best decision made under the circumstances, not that we will ever know them
 
Let's get numbers together and go down to concord and protest. FFS you have clowns that don't care and get paid to make stupid decisions. All us supporters, we'd pay extra to see our team succeed, I honestly think a stand is needed. If players are really causing this drama, get rid of them whoever the XXXX they are.

We heard the same when Parish was applying for head Coach before Potter got the job. hat time however it was from Allan Jones who coached his father at Balmain. It is ironic that both Jones and Hadley work at the same place but have vastly different opinions regarding Parish. I along with most Wests tigers fans say stick with Potter.
 
Potter wins he's in, Potter losers he's out. How would he go with the playing stable of Rabbits, Roosters or Storm. He has a bunch of kids and a heap of injuries. Give the bloke a go. If he makes finals he will be known as a good coach. If not he will be probably sacked. If the later happens I would make sure the players who let the club down go to.

It was not his father Newtown, it was Matt Parish.

I know that an outrageous old queen who (allegedly) likes to surround himself with young footballers was pushing for Matt Parish and maybe he is still pushing, but I don't recall Don Parish playing for Balmain. It's very likely to be just my memory but I thought he retired from the Magpies and I know he later came back and coached them.
 
I will be extremely disappointed if Potter 's contract is not renewed. This is how clubs become basket cases carrying on with this rubbish, letting the players dictate. It has to be a results driven business. We will turn into the Warriors…just wasted two years on Elliott. Not decent coach will come and we just go around around in smaller circles.

We have a list to win it in the next few years. We put up with Sheens underperformance for years because the players liked him. If potter doesn't progress the team further in 2yrs there is time to replace him. He has done all that has been asked and more, probably the best coach we have had in 30yrs (i cant think of one better). If there are probs between players and coach sort it out and the last thing we need is a coaching director ffs. Thats what really shit clubs do when they don't trust the coach.
 
I've said before, I've never known a coach of any club in any sport to have so much support form the people that really matter, yet still face dismissal for under performing. It's unbelievable. :brick:
 
Our board just isn't accountable, they extended Sheen's for 5 years, sack him a couple years later, give the new bloke no time to turn things around all while being taken to court by Sheens. Bring on the independent board and hopefully a new era of sanity.

I'm with others that have said they won't renew their membership in 2015 if Potter is not extended, (I'd like to see two years).
