Yep tricky one. Honestly I think we give them both time at 14. Also think API’s minutes will be a factor. If we’re expecting Api to ply shorter minutes one week due to niggles or short turn around, Da Silva potentially more useful. Otherwise the versatility of Latu probably more useful.'s

It's not tricky at all. TDS isn't physically strong enough in defence yet. He was poor tonight. Latu is the 14 when we're at full strength.

Eels looked super unfit and loved pushing the boundaries. Not sure how they didn’t get a sin bin for their six agains

And agree, Luai and Api will change our attack dynamics x10. Still haven’t seen what we are capable of yet fully

Latu Fainu had a great game and really good bounce back from last week. Bird was really good defensively as well.

Mason had a great game and so did AD. Impressed with May, and Twal as well.

Some strong defence at times and good hits. Impressive completion rate too.

Just got to cut some of those silly errors out before the season.

It’ll be interesting to see what our Rnd 1 team looks like. Obviously have to take trial form with a grain of salt.

What about Skelton? Hit of the year and the hard yards from the line.

Just finished watching replay.

We seemed to go to another gear with 15 to go but overall the big things that stand out to me are

Poor line speed
Slow play the balls.
Media is love bombing Galvin.
I love Birds injection into the side. Although hope he has a natural swagger otherwise it’s a worry how he hobbles around.
Need some centres bad.

Needs to trust his inside man when the slide is on .
He’s always been guilty of distrust in his halves . That try down his just needed him to slide onto his opposite number , and let Galvin take the man with the ball. Once he jams , Staines james , and it’s all over.
Especially with someone as fit as Galvin tracking across next to him.

I'm wondering if Turuva is named at centre come round 1....

With Naden going down, Olam being questionable and Starford not really standing out tonight... we may see AD & Sunia in the centres with Jeral and Staines [or Luke Lualilii] on the wing.

Hopeful Taylan May lands at the club, cleared of charges and a better attitude.

TDS has been underwhelming the last two weeks. But he is still young. There is no shame in him playing reserve grade this year and working on his craft. Harry Grant did a long apprenticeship and when he became a regular first grader he was one of the best hookers from day 1. We have had such poor rosters for years that I am hoping we can better develop players in lower grades and have them earn first grade guernseys rather than handing them out on potential alone.
