TEAM LIST Preseason Challenge Week 1 v Canterbury

Team List
Ur kidding , he may not be the player he was beaking the line but we don’t have many better at defence .
Just too slow for the modern game mate. It's all about fast middles with agility nowadays. Would expect to see Hunt, May, Pole and Twal all at prop instead to start the year. Maybe Klemmer gets a run a bit later but maybe I'm wrong

Hope Skelton goes well. Could be a really good yardage winger for us, big and powerful, just worry about his defence.

Would love Sione Fainu being able to play edge or middle, utility value is super important nowadays and it would allowed us to carry TDS on the bench more easily.

Klemmer's inclusion in this side makes me think he wont get to trigger his option. Bit of a slap in the face really. He'splayed 3 x +1st grade games then the whole team combined.Wouldn't surprise me if Storm come sniffing about after a call from Richo

We dont have the coin to be paying him $800k for another season....

I couldn't disagree more.

I attend an industry conference around September each year.

Canberra is boring and lacks anything if you're not binge drinking.
I too was of the opion that Canberra had no soul, having been unfortaubate enough to live here on two previous occasions.

After a 30 plus years of Mrs Jolls being dragged around the country she decided, ater we purchaed an renovated our retirement home, that se wanted ot relocate to Canberra where her friends were, I gave Mrs Jolls a brief afterr she made that decision; happy to meove ther as along as we live winin walking distance of a pub that sold Reschs.

She found a home that met my criteria so had to move. My third time in the region and it has grown on me. You can't just rock up and make it happen though, Canberra isn't about the city it is about what happens around it. the burbs are great ansd if you really want a great time you need to head out of the city. Otherwise you are surrounded by uni students, officer cadets and deroes.

If you need guidance if you are visting give e a bell - not a local but have plenty of exerience in the big smoke of Canberra.

Apols for being off topic.

Thx @Jolls - Love the region, dislike the City

Good Food including a for start is lacking an the place feels vacant.

See you guys 25-27th September 2025

Any recommendations are welcome
Mate, you need to get out of the city - no one lives there. It caters to ANU students, RMC/ADFA Cadets and pissed idiots form the burbs at Moseheadeds. If you want to enjoy Canberra it is about what is going on in the burbs and surrounding towns

For a game that basically means nothing apart from the kids to shine,May have already decided The Club's stance on Klem/may not either. Think your quote maybe 150 to high .Coin best spent elsewhere none the less

I think pole will cover lock so KLEMMER will really be needed to plug up the middle

Two omissions from that squad puzzle me. Ruben Porter and Starford To'a.

It'll be interesting if they feature in the 2nd game v Parra?

I have a nephew who owns a small property at Murrumbateman, I like it there

We stay in a cabin in Sutton, just on the NSW side of the border. Just a short five minute drive away is the ACT suburb Gungahlin which had anything we needed, great shops, food & pubs.

It's a lot cheaper to stay in the pretty decent cabins in Sutton than anything on offer in Canberra, and it's virtually just off the main road into the City. 10 mins or so from the city centre outside of peak times.
