Well we have heard it prior from Madge.
Yes time to change it up lets see what happens.
Playing for our season tonight thought that comment was not correct, we all knew with our draw and depth we needed to win the Games against the warriors/rabbits.
If the half combination does not change would be surprised.
TT should also be dropped on that performance.

His not a winger they have to stop picking out of position

I get a club the caliber as us if you get a Val homes or fox youd play them at full back.

But talau douei mbye just don’t cut it playing out of position if their not good enough for their natural position don’t play them.

Talau - second row
Douei- half or second row
Mbye fullback or half

It’s not rocket science I don’t know how these guys keep screwing up.

That is just a no

Then shouldn’t be in team.

Talau doesn't have the grunt to play second row.

Shouldn’t be in the side then he not a back either

love to see Douhie play 6
lets move tommy into centre
mmbye fullback

Isn’t Talau a 5/8? I would rather see him given an opportunity first to see what he offers in his natural position

I don't get the bagging of Tommy Talau. He's a kid, albeit a big one. He's got skill and he puts in effort. He is a fine prospect for the future; a keeper for sure. He will learn.

He really has been put in too early, Penrith doesn't seem to be a good place for him. He was terrible in the trial out here earlier this year as well.

I think MCGuire handled himself really good in the presser. As much as he knows the seasons over and probably was weeks ago he’s handled himself with dignity. He will have his team soon that he wants but what he really needs to get is a quality signing at 1.

Wouldn’t mind Madge going with a Josh Hannay style press conference. Seriously though, at this point it’s not what he or the club says. It’s about what they do. Enough words, more action.

are you drinking absinthe?

That second row is possibly not the best suggestion I’ve ever seen

I’m not saying they are ready for it now but develop them into their more natural position

That's been the case for too long.

Gotta feel sorry for Madge. Despite his best efforts to instil some competitive grunt, this club is bordering on being uncoachable .

For the last decade, this place has been a coach killer, ruining plenty of coaching careers. Not sure why the culture In the club is so septic and how Madge is going to fix it, but I can’t really see any other option than persisting with him building the squad that he wants, and then truly judging him on his coaching ability.

Well one thing without saying it has finally conceded we won't be playing finals football.
Changes required last 4 weeks lets make it happen in some key positions.
Move on over paid players.
Tap Benji on the shoulder and state what game should announce retirement.
Give Lawrence one more start before season end for a proper send off at home.
Might have to tap Brooks / Mybe / Packer / Reynolds to free up some salary space.
If you also look at players available on the Market from clubs there are not great choices, might be a good idea to explore a good English hard nosed forward like we have done prior.
Next season don't have high expectations as we still won't have a great roster until 2022.

***Talau is getting concerning for me***

Ive been patient, but he has nothing. People here talking him up as our long term centre or even 5/8! He is lucky to hold down a wing spot. Would almost rather Jennings. Can rely on Talau for 2 dropped balls and two porr defensive misses a game.

Big kid but on what he has shown so far he is slow, has bad hands and cant tackle.

Totally agree

In other words no quick fix. Brave man Maguire because he has got a long road of torment ahead of him yet. Hope he can last the distance because he is on hiding to nothing in the short term.

Agree think the club has to come out and back the Coach now and give him a 2 year extension allowing him to change the roster as required.

It also sends a clear message to any disgruntled players that the coach has the full authority of the club.

I have been saying this for a while. Some players in this club think its all about them, its about time they are removed from the equation with the entire board backing the coach. We now have a coach that deserves to get what he wants he needs that support from the top.
