I'm not one that wants to know all the decisions a club makes but with things the way they are it's probable time the club whether it be though the CEO or Board make a statetment ASAP on the direction the club is going in the future and if there are issues with salary cap etc you can't hide from these issues it will come out in the wash anyway. There are a lot of unhappy campers at our club it's there for all to see ,as a supporter all I want is a statment from someone about the future direction we are undertaking and why ..not saying anything only fans the fire .Remember guys the club wants us to pay top $ to attend games and pay top $ for merchandise a bit of truthfullness will go a long way at prestent.I hate seeing this club going from bad to worse .

I'm pretty sure that everyone acknowledges that the problems within the club are internal ones…...so why can't we let the club deal with them like that?

I don't want any announcements until it is the right time. Personally I wouldn't be announcing anything until everything was signed, sealed and delivered.

Let them do their job and deal with the problem.

Exactly - I work in the corporate world and their are always rumours but you don't make an announcement till your ready - you don't let the media, your competitors, or fans on an internet forum bully you into making statements on our future and what would they say anyway "Ahh in case anyone hasn't noticed we are releasing some players and making some changes for next year - we havent finalised our signings yet soo umm yup yup we have nothing newsworthy to announce but we didn't want the keyboard warriors on a internet forum didnt have to wait for us to say something"

If we sign Blair, Dugan, Vidot, & Shackelton & win games next year all will be forgiven. Acleanout is needed after watching last nights effort which was the worst performance of a Weszts Tigers team.

I have a opposing view. Like you I work in the Corporate World for a high profile Publicaly listed company. Occasionally we become embroiled in a controversial issue (often not from our doing), and to appease the Market and our shareholders we come out with a generic statement acknowledging the situation blah blah blah. It is nothing but a PR exercise to keep everybody informed as best as possible, and I think this initiative is lacking by the Club in this instance. My view only. Thanks

Its not only the fans..the players also want to know what is going on.

Just like any other work places if you see your fellow staff members getting sacked even if they have contracts you start to worry that you are next.

Thats the view I take Blades.
Are these player cuts the result of poor salary cap management?
Are they the result of restructuring with an eye to signing a more professional outfit?

Just a generic statement about both would slow the rumor mill which is making us a laughing stock. We have to play all the top sides from here on in. They will all grow a foot taller for our games, making victory for us that much more unattainable.

In my opinion it is due to poor cap management and the signing of new players. We were fined last year due to contracts of Farah and Gibbs. We want Blair and Dugan so significant releases need to be made. Im confident bout both signings. We have locked in Benji, Farah, Ayshford, Lawrence to long term deals. We get rid of Gibbs, Fifita, Lui, Ryan, Daniella, Brown, Mckinnon, Utai, Payten and Flanagan to sign Blair and Dugan and upgrade Sironen, Miller, Begovich, Groat and the rest of the toyota cup stars. Im happy with that. It makes sense to me. Id rather lose Gibbs, Brown and the other players I have mentioned above than lose any of the toyota cup players of the future.
