OFFICIAL Q&A Club discussion with Shaun Mielekamp

Finals just once in 15 years in a competition where half the teams play finals is a bar so low, it’s pretty much on the ground. And this club still can’t clear it.
On a positive note, since the NRL's inception, these teams have never won an NRL GF: Warriors Raiders Eels & Titans (Dolphins, johnny's come lately)

Yes we need change but all I'm saying is, giving up your membership the right way to go about it....football club memberhip, not Wests Ashfield.

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't know for sure but its just what I think, you're taking money and support away from the football club.

If there is an 'expert' on here who knows how to change the situation, then thats great and let's do what they say. Maybe the fans can find someone who knows about this stuff?

Could letting the new CEO to try and build some bridges be more productive? Maybe? It would be easier for him with more money and support.

We all want the same thing.
Fair call.

This is the third time they’ve somehow botched up my auto renewal. I will probably member up again soon as I have in the past but for me now, I’m finding it difficult to justify. Although a nice shiny new members hat will usually do it most years.

You must be one of these people they talk of that love being the perennial losing underdog. You must be getting excited for this weekend?

We need change.

We desperately need one singular change.

HBG in its current form must go. All the other crap we all go on about are just symptoms of ownership failure.

When a GP assesses a patient, they identify symptoms so they can find a common cause. Literally 99% of fans realise that the disease linking our symptoms is HBG.

Yes that would be ideal but how do you make that happen, haven't they been operating the same way for decades?

I think is all to overwhelming for him

He tried to do the big fan thing and communicate with us by was swamped by a tsunami lol

It was a ridiculous decision for a CEO to be joing the forum and engage with fans. I ignored the thread at first because I thought it was embarrassing, but couldn't help post in it with us going from one disaster to another. I have no doubt Shaun is good at his job and probably a terrific bloke, but interacting with fans like this is poor judgement.

Chunk, I don’t want to cause a rift or some kind of interpersonal issue with you but you’re looking in the wrong place, we need experts who also have a $100 debenture.

I dont see whats embarrasing about it.

I dont see a difference from him being interviewed and taking Q's at pre-game functions, doing pod casts...or trying to answer supporter/members questions on an online forum

Its just another form of media

Maybe he thougt we'd all be a bit more mature than hes found, hes already had his words taken out of context and twisted to suit some here pov that were offended by something he said despite him admitting and apologizing it wasnt what he meant, yet some wouldnt let it go.

Hes having a go and trying ...no one in the history of the clubs done this before so kudos to him imo...though despite this I think we all know the road blocks hes facing from HB

I disagree. Honestly my first thought was its embarrassing. No offence to the guy, im on his side and want him to do well. However joing the forum never sat well with me

I think if this thread is to continue, the best thing is to lock it straight after a loss and maybe till the next morning. Every loss so far, the usual suspects have come in here and hurled abuse. Whether it’s warranted or not, it’s not going do this thread any good. He’s not here to cop abuse, whether you think he deserves it or not.

I am focusing on his meaning. If you think that’s an acceptable standard from the CEO and club than so be it.

But I have every right to post and reply. If Shaun doesn’t like it he shouldn’t have started this thread.

It’s not about being right. If anything I hope I’m wrong. I’d love for Shaun and the club to prove me wrong and have some modicum of success.

If you don’t like my posts then you’re welcome to use the ignore function but I’m not going to stop calling him out when I feel it’s warranted.
How righteous.

Are there any other molehills you'd like to take a stand on?
