Qld Fullback Game 3

Probably 4 realistic chances

Greg Inglis
Matt Bowen
Ben Barba
Darius Boyd

I think the decision I would go with is Matt Bowen

Few reasons
Thurston and Bowen know each other better than their partners Very similiar to Smith and Slater

Bowen has played SOO previously at fullback

Less changes that will affect the side

The replacements for the other positions aren't as good ie (Centres and winger )

Who would you go with ??

I think Inglis would be very destructive at the back. Don't know who they'd bring into centre though - Nielsen maybe? He's been there before.

I'd move GI to the number 1\. He is devastating with room to move - something he has not been offered to much of this series so far - He is aslo in fantastic club form in this position.

Brent Tate who is the ultimate professional at this level could easily shift to the centers and cover for the loss of Ingliss here. QLD would not lose much in this move.

Wing once again becomes the talking point. Barba and Bowen are sensational attacking weapons but this creativity is stifled somewhat when playing wing position. Therefore for mine the genuine wing contenders are Tonga, O'Niel, Tuqiri, Graham and Vidot. Out of those I would take Tonga or O'Neil.

Out of those 2, Justin O'Neil may well be the answer.

I'd keep GI in the centres, he is very damaging there. In game 2 the Blues did a decent job nullifying Slater at the back (with the help of his injury). If you shift Inglis to the back there really isn't another decent centre option, except Tate, but then you are messing up both flanks of your attack. Neilson is solid but can definitely be closed down.

I'd throw Matty Bowen at fullback, he has a deadly combination with JT and has origin experience. Barba in my opinion isn't good enough under the high ball to be an origin fullback, whereas Boyd has the mental edge over Uate so you would want to keep him there again.

I expect the Qld changes to be
Thaiday in, Taylor to the bench, Parker out
Barba in, Gillett to the centres, Inglis to fullback, Slater out.

i doubt qld would want to bring newer people in the team. gillet's played both games this year and he goes decent at centre. if u bring in tait to the left, 1\. he is a right side centre, 2\. you have to find new plays or new idea for both sides of the field

barba off the bench can be deadly. nsw have a tendency to start good and zone off late, if barba is supporting half breaks in the latter stages of the game, it will be hard to shut him down.

It will be Inglis to FB and Neilsen coming into Starting Team at Left Centre or Boyd to FB and Barba/Lote coming into starting Team at Left Wing.

You would have to fit uate there somewhere, he has been queenslands best player so far.
