Questions being asked of CEO

Sorry I can't recall the source but I read it in general media maybe SMH but definitely not Footy Show. Apparently Potter met with Farah in his apartment on Monday.

Mayer is a light weight CEO , defiantly out of his depth in this department seemed ok in the commercial side of things. In regards to the interview being cut if Mayer expects anyone to believe that was not deliberate is a fool ….At that moment with the support of the players for the coach being scrutinised this was the most CRITICAL. part of the whole interview ,please your kidding Mayer.
The club has to source a new CEO that has leadership qualities and a BACKBONE.

I can understand how the interview was cut without Mayer's involvement or knowledge. He can't be everywhere all the time. If there is a big conspiracy, then OK he might have had involvement but I can easily see how he wouldn't know.

NT, You can watch the video on the foxsports website, http://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/dave-smiths-plan-to-give-wests-tigers-an-independent-chairperson-falls-at-first-financial-hurdle/story-e6frf3wu-1227009213686

Look the video was probably edited for the WT website as all the videos on the website get edited to ensure they are short and snappy. Pre+post macth interviews would usually be related to game related content.

**Whoever gave the instruction to edit that part out was probably of the (totally reasonable) assumption that one of the many many journalists who were at the press conference may have picked up on such a strong statement by Farah, and you know actually published it in an article or in a tv bulletin etc!!!\
\
The real problem here is how NOT ONE media outlet reported on those facts as they heard them in the press conference. They were all far more interested with continuing the rumours and conspiracies rather than reporting the boring cold hard facts as they literally heard with their own ears. Shockingly poor work from all the media involved.**

Trying to pick my way through the big pile of excrement that surfaced last weekend, I somehow doubt that Mayer is the one with the destabilising agenda. My read is that he's just piggy in the middle.
I think the destabilising agenda is either being lead by Farah, or by one or more board members. I tend to think it is the board judging by Mayer's actions, although the longer Farah sooks the more he draws attention his way. Though I don't think Mayer is the destabilising influence I don't think he's handled things well and that may be because it is a board member behind the mess and Mayer's hands are tied.

A lingering question I have is over the hour long meeting that Farah and Potter are reported to have had. Why? What was it about? Was it a 'bury the hatchet' meeting? Why was Ayoub there? Were the two of them discussing whether or not they could work together? Curious.

The meeting you are talking about ??

Is this the one before the game v the Saints NT ??

Thanks Balmain but the one I'm after is not there. I'm after the original uncut one that Robbie is upset that his his positive comments were cut from. Apparently the uncut version is out there, I just haven't been able to find it.

Happy, the meeting I'm talking about apparently happened after the game on Sunday. My memory is that the meeting happened on Monday. Potter reportedly met with Farah in Farah's flat and Ayoub was also present. Unfortunately I can't find reference to it anymore.

Everyone has private conversations about their boss and some even tell people who they think they can trust exactly what they really think of the boss.
There is no doubt Potter had a lot of people offside LAST year. The comment from Robbie was from last year. From all reports Potter is much better with the players this year and the results have proved that.

Robbie has played well under the coaching of Potter this year. I haven't heard him complaining about the coaching.
I have however heard him complain about "management" with both Tedesco and now Potter.

Maybe Brian Smith should have investigated how private information is always leaked to the media by "management" starting with our twitter loving CEO.

For all those calling for Mayer's head, i'm just curious as to the basis for your accusations?

Is it the rumours circulating in the Telegraph? The ones being spread by the Herald, or the rumours doing the rounds on TV and radio?

You see the thing is, none of us know the full story, none of us probably even know 1/10th of the full story, so to throw Mayer under the bus based on rumours and chinese whispers is nothing short of laughable.

As for the claims that he somehow 'disappeared' during this whole shitstorm, you obviously don't have access to social media where he fielded questions pretty much a on a daily basis.

Has he handled this saga brilliantly? Not by a longshot. But I highly doubt there would be anybody in CEO-land who could have done much better when faced with a dysfunctional board, rampant media bias, and a snitch within the ranks who it seems is fuelling a lot of this rubbish.

So a long deep breath and a lie down may be in order until we actually get some concrete facts emerging about this drama.

Any insight into questions and answers Gazman ?

I'm currently listening to that interview and he is a complete fast talking spin merchant. I'm struggling to stay composed
