Careful now, the early reports are saying it was a medical episode and not self-harm. Your post made me think he'd killed himself.

Holy crap…that is TERRIBLE!!!

my best mates old man taught him at school. Both he and his sister could have represented Australia in swimming and a few other sports but chose league....such a shame

Lot of people don't know this but he was a type 1 diabetic from an early age and managed it his whole life.
I think it could be related but I won't speculate.
