Race to escape the Bottom 4

I 've had a play around with this on the ladder predictor and had us finishing 12th - but had not included the chooks as a win.

The bunnies were woeful yesterday so the two byes will do them a word of good and with players coming back. I think they have potential to drag themselves off the bottom after they get through the next three weeks where they hit the Panthers, Sharks and Donkeys.

Eels with Moses coming back will also win a couple - the most likely being the rabbits and knights but they could go either way.

The Knights have a hard run home. I can see them falling away as the season progresses.

Titans have the best run home facing us twice and the rabbits once. They have such potential on paper and have beaten a couple fo decent teams. I think there is too much turmoil internally for them to crawl off the bottom - but they could put it on us in one of the two game we have agaisnt them. They've also got the rabbits on the run home.

We have a difficult run home but hit the Titans twice in that period. They bye after Penrith and the Dogs probably comes at a great time for us so we can reset for Manly. Cows and Titans at Leichardt we have to target as wins.

I trust that we aren't palying spoon bowl against the Titans come round 27 - as we know how well that went last time. Footy is a funny game - so we will see what pans out.

Yes as evidenced last year, the race for the spoon is every bit as interesting as the reace for the top 4.
Yesterdays unexpected result really helps us. The warriors are vulnerable as well. Strike again this weekend and we are looking a lot better.

The Wahs are definitely vulnerable but will take a lot from being at home with all three grades (as will we). I have concerns over Toa being fit and Luai backing up. Api will be well rested so that is a bonus.

The rotation of Taruva to fullback and Staines to the wing is an improvement over Mason in for Bula (despite the drop at the back). Taruva and Api up the middle could cause some headaches.

AD back to centre if Luai is OK, but plays 5/8th otherwise.

Potentially a new centre pairing for this weekend, depending on how Toa recovers. Luke is not good enough in defence yet, so is it Naden/Faataape or Naden/May?

How has Faataape been going? If toa is out, id choose him if he is fit and in form over those others

A win next weekend would also see us with the most wins in a season since 2022 with 7 wins.

We won 8 games in 2021 and 7 games in 2020.

3 more wins and you can start calling Benji the most successful Wests Tigers coach in the last 5 years mate.

From what I understand he has not improved - he is a solid back up but he has now been sueprceded by some of the young guns: Mapz, Tu'iToupou etc. I don't get to watch as much of KoE as I would like but I think that there are a few in front of him for a run in FG and NAden is probably the best performer of them.

Nope, he still has those 2 pesky spoons.

I really dont like Nado in top grade....see what happens

Faatape is very decent with ball in hand, but a liability when defending.
His defensive issues are not from lack of intent and never gets steamrolled, but he struggles to make the right defensive options and misses plenty when reaching to tackle his opponents.
I honestly think he could convert into a handy edge back rower, but that’s another discussion.
