I'll be having a wager on Leica Larrikin in the Epsom- very strong finisher who has been running well. Odds should be handy.

I like Metal Bender in the Turnbull, but if I'm honest, that race is nearly impossible to back with any certainty. Metal Bender ran 3rd in the Underwood the other day- first race left handed, and handled well. Always gives good value and I've got a sneaky $50 put on him at 26-1 for the Melbourne Cup.

Metal Bender will be lucky to make the Cup field I am afraid.

Actually- maybe you can answer this- what would it take for him to get a run in the Melbourne Cup at this stage?

You answered that in your previous post. Win Caulfield, he will run in the cup.. I think he looks more suited to the McKinnon, if all else fails…

GREAT RUN from "The Bender" yesterday- finished fantastically & sets it up for a big showing in the Caulfield- equal fav at TAB now at 8-1.

Was that Monaco Consul i saw trailing in behind it? if so- another good runner & worth a look for Melbourne cup day..

Yeh will have to win the Caufield I believe. Based on its slashing run on the weekend it is definitely a good chance of doing that. However, I personally feel 3200m in beyond the Bender, but you just never know!

Caulfield Guineas Day tomorrow.

I like Bullbars in the big one at some value.
And Luen Yat Forever in the Toorak.

Best Long Shots - Dance the Ocean in the 8th at Caulfield and Punxsutawney Phil in the 7th at Eagle Farm.

Good luck to those having a bet.

Descarado loves the mud and has been set for this…

Try to get on Fixed Odds and you should get $16-$18

Thank you very much, Tiger Watto. For my $1 e/w I got $24.30!! ($19.20 and $5.10). I wish I was braver….
Well done.

(You never go broke making a profit.)

Well done Watto. I had it in my trifecta. Run of the race was Shocking, only bad luck will beat it at Flemington.

Yeah… How good was Shocking in the straight. On the turn I watched Alcopop make his move and thought he would go on with it as nothing was coming from being well back in the straight all day, and Shocking was still last. Shocking went past Alcopop making him look like a Class Horse at best...

Can't see much getting past Shocking in the Cup. I'd say So You Think will have to settle for the Cox Plate next week...

Great Win by Descarado. He just paid for my new XR6!

And keep the tips coming so us neville's can feed of the crumb's...

No value about Shocking. Will be carrying too much weight for mine, and definitely not worth the current $5 quote. Had every chance to win the Caulfield Cup on Saturday but couldn't do it. At this stage I am definitely looking elsewhere.

Nothing came from behind all day, so to pick them all up in the straight bar a few was pretty good.

What was your thoughts on Cestlaguerre's run? Looked like a trial for mine…

I took the 35 to 1 Shocking offered by NSW TAB sometime back in a special offering. At the time I think he was about 12 to 1\. I'm on good terms with myself at the moment. Never been a multiple winner at Caulfield (1 from 10) but usually puts up a good run. Flemington will bring out the best in him. Whatever he does only lose a little but stand to win a good bit!!!!! Now for a couple to go with him in the trifecta.

BJM I like your thinking, have had Shootout with Shocking(Cup) in a double for some value.

Shoot Out has been running well building up to the plate and should be primed to fire.

Don't know about that now, with the news that Stathi Katsidis is dead.

Will throw preperations into disarray. Cant believe it. 😱pen_mouth:

Care to add anything constructive? Why didn't it have a chance? It had a great run, maybe a slight check at the turn but that was nothing, Monaco Consul copped more grief and powered on just as strongly.

Shocking is great horse, however it is going to carry at least 57kg in the Melbourne Cup (Makybe Diva carried 58kg when it won the third time, Shocking is no Makybe Diva). Shocking carried 51kg last year. All I am saying is, $5 is far too short, and you will almost definitely get a better price on the day.

Thats just nasty MM…

Anyone looking for Value in this weeks Cox Plate, considering So You Think will probably starting under $2, have a bit on Wall Street or Zipping for a Place @ around $4.50/$4.00...

Any word when Metal Bender will run next? (I'm presumming McKinnon)

Dont worry that wont be happening…Centaur can post in any thread he likes especially this 1....

I like Zipping...
