Back on topic, isn't Ellis' partner Aussie? Technically he could apply for citizenship allowing him to play for Aus and NSW. However it will never happen.

Lets not start this Sterling , was born in Toowomba Kenny Nagas, Peter Dawes blah blah blah
Its not as if there made to play for a state they don't want to
This QLD spirit is a preconceived myth made up by the QLD old boys to try and give you boys an edge after a bit over a decade of dominance by the blues in which we won 9-3 plus 2 series 'wins' by QLD as a result of a draw. And unfortunately it worked. Oh and also QLD having probably the best State of Origin team that any state will be able to assemble for the next 50yrs imo. I've been living in QLD for work now for a few weeks and it's funny to hear how arrogant and uneducated most discussions are about rugby league. Well they are not really discussions, because you need the other side to be able to discuss a topic to be so. I'm all for state spirit and getting behind my team but and big enough to give a wrap to QLD or a QLD player when it is warranted eg Billy Slater winning Dally M, but when the shoe is on the other foot… :deadhorse:
