Is Harry Grant a grub for deliberately running into Leota to have that field goal disallowed?

I suppose that at least the Penrith trainer didn't run across the field as a blocker for Cleary's field goal attempt.

Grant was also responsible for them changing the rule after he used to deliberately pass the ball into opposition players when they were on the ground offside in the ruck, well at least that was the rule until last weekend.

Very smart player and really quick between the ears, some call it gamesmanship, I call it being a grubby cheat, no better than B.itch Moses.

Looks like who ever cheats and bends the rules the best will win this comp. 🤣
If Harry grant played for us and we just beat the panthers would you be still disappointed, 2 points is 2 points and it wasn’t a dirty foul play , head shot or similar it was smart thinking

Smart thinking, just like getting duped by Feldt, Turdsend, Butler, Klown and Anusley after the full time hooter.

Yeah, ya just gotta luv all that sort of shit.

Apart from the penalty milked by Grant on the Cleary FG I thought the pea blower let the game flow. Let head highs that were, up until last week, blown as penalties go and did not use the 6 agains to ruin the game (1 issued in the entire game). Ruck interference by both teams was accepted, off side kick chasers were not pinged (not that it occurred often so could have been a simple miss) and there were several times players, on both sides, were never on side.

The question is: do we see that same approach taken across the weekend or is the more leninet interpretation of the rules reserved for title contenders so the TV audience is entertained? I trust that there has been some common sense applied to the head high situations and the same leeway around the ruck is applied going forward, but how do you know as a player what set of rules you need to prepare for?
history has proved they actually ref the game as it should be leading into the semi's (Ref being site unseen). Then flip it and stamp there foot down on some indiscretion they recently gave the green light for,and post a warning to all clubs to heed by the rules. Cameron Smith being sat out a game for dragging/bull dogging a player by the head as a prime example. Bizarre form of leadership

It's the ref who is the grub for penalising Penrith... no way should that have been a penalty... Leota didn't move

Leota & Cleary both knew what was doing, he looked at the hooker and stopped before the play the ball. Cleary also corrected his position whilst looking up. Leota put himself into position. He did move intentionally be it slight into Grants path as well (front on angle shows it clearly).

If Leota ran a line or even prepared for the ball as he would do 99% of the other times especially in the attacking zone it wouldn’t have been an issue. He had zero intent to touch/be in a ball position outside of letting Cleary have a field goal snap.

Did Grant milk it of course he did but Leota & Cleary knew what they were doing - he stopped and was directly in the line. Grant out played them.

They had done the video on how Penrith set up for field goals, they have a history of blockers so set themselves up. Leota did take a step to block anyway.

Yeh their golden point fg set ups are very structured and therefore opponemts can study and learn....thats one aspect that wasnt evident in our field goal at LO v Gold coast...it was random and off the cuff...not saying they planned it that way but it probably helped
