I’m not sure if the Knights are just garbage or the Cowboys are really good. I’m going for the former, I want us to whack the Cowboys next week.

Man, I bet KPP is glad he signed with us the Knights are horrible, he could be used as a real weapon but for months he hardly ever gets the ball they continually use him as a decoy.

Bet he can't wait to get out of the joint, I'm sure Benji will use him better than O'Brien his gameplans have no clue.
Can’t believe O’Brien is not on the chopping block. Seibold gets jumped on every second week, O’Brien gets a free pass in the media even though his team plays like crap every week with a fairly good roster.

Knights have forgotten what made Newcastle a good football town.

Hard work, hard hitting, tough town mentality.

Their best halves combination, for the last 2 seasons, was Hastings & Gamble. With Sharpe emerging, Gamble can be the #13. Ponga at the back. Not sure what you'd do with Dylan Brown.

They need a #9, 2 front rowers to start who don't take any crap & a winger that doesn't make your heart stop like Marzhew. They should have gone all out for Mahoney. That's what they need.

They are mad not playing Hetherington.

I came on here just to say the same thing.

Swinging arm from Hughes with head contact = penalty. Incidental shoulder contact from Seyfarth with head contact = 10 minutes.

The lack of consistency is mind boggling.
Just need to follow up to myself - Mitchell Moses shoulder contact with the head against Souths, missed and put on report at HT, no further action.

I'm going to keep documenting these in honour of the Baby Giraffe who copped a sin bin and suspensions for something that happens almost every match of every week.

So the bottom 6 in penalty differential are all currently top 8 sides. What does that tell you about the cynical nature of coaches. Give away penalties to stall opposition momentum and defend it. Wonder if you ran the same analysis on sin bins? Do the sides that give away the most penalties also correlate with most in the bin? I’ll bet they don’t. And that’s where ref subconscious bias comes into it.

We, and the other bottom teams get done by the set restarts, often on the 4th or 5th tackle.... very rarely if ever, do I see the top teams get pinged late in the tackle count and it's not good discipline they get more leeway.
The better teams tend to get pinged more when it means less, hence the penalties that are usually in the opposition 40.
