Physicality wise, I would agree. However, defensive choice wise, Brasher was pretty well up to speed from the get go for mine, continuing on from his junior days.

Even back coaching against him when he was playing U13's for Burwood United in the newly combined Wests/Balmain comp, he was the one centre/back across that grade that almost always made the correct call.

Yes, we dodged a bullet by not taking
him, and I have to apologise coz at one stage I was calling for his signing.
I thought anyone would be better than Benji but given the racial breakup of our team, I recently read it’s 90% Kiwi/ Pacifica, I can see it wouldn't have worked( but they all idolise Benji). As a matter of fact I don’t even think Wayne Bennett would have worked.
