I've mellowed heaps over the years , the days of :bash stuff are long gone :laughing:

Exactly the way I was thinking too…. Dragons must have had that in their minds in the second half last round.
 
This is the same game last year, Knights in orange uniforms in Newcastle that we lost, right? With Sims kicking the loose football across Rankin for the key play, both players now moved on?

A lot better for summer, but you can just about use the old plasma one as a heater in these colder months as they run so hot. Still got one running occasionally as our second set.

Planning on heading to Newcastle stadium for the first time, so hoping for a decent effort.
 
I am expecting big performances from some of our players. They will be looking to impress the only club where they may be able to get a NRL contract for next year.

If things do not go our way, we may be able to leave a couple of them behind

In every other week, I try to sit back & simply consider which team is the better, and usually that works more times than not (all things being equal).

BUT then I apply that logic to my Wests Tigers and all bets are off - well, at least in this my winter of my discontent!

Still, hope lives eternal.

Where are all the forumers that were spruking top 8 at the beginning of the season?
I was offering double the odds of any bookie for the Tigers to miss the 8 and not one person wanted to take up the offer. I could of really done with that cash right now, maybe next year.

About one year ago a thread was asking where we would be this time next year - well "someone" predicted perfectly as well including that the big 3 would no longer be here.

What's funny is I have a screen shot in my phone still of when we best Souths took
It on Saturday of us in 1st place while I had the chance to see us 1st

NERF gun. Seriously satisfying and I haven't broken a TV with one yet. My missus and I have one each and it makes even ad breaks entertaining.
 
All the best to our team today….hope they are competitive and be injury free...I'm over all the shock and horror of this year...If we do get beat and we end up with the spoon, so beit, it's a sport, a game... There's always next year to improve and be better....good luck team ....
 
All we can do is support the team thru it's good and bad times.
Wests tigers will again rise to prominence, so if getting the wooden spoon is a massive wake up call, then so be it.

Sorry to say it but if the spoon and being cellar dwellers for a few years forces another merger with for eg Bulldogs then at least we could be competitive year in year out. We are only 1+1/4 joint venture now and my maggies were always weak so what alternative do we have. But I certainly hope the boys all turn up for 80 minutes and give Ivan and fans some hope. With Pacquaio-Horn fight in the same room same time at the club at least I will get a win somewhere.
