Realistic team list round 1 2018

Stupid to select a team without a goalkicker. From the trials Marsters & Milne are terrible, Gamble will not play round 1, Lolohea has to be there

Reynolds used to kick goals in lower grades at the Dogs.

In this game I reported on, he scored 4 tries and 11 goals (38 points)

It’s great to have good depth, finally, but will be 0/6 if this is our back line. I just don’t see why we would include Benji on the bench when you have CLaw and McQueen in the side. Lolo could move into the halves, Thompson to FB etc. Forwards look great. Too many to fit in. It’s a shame ET doesn’t move to Hooker, leaving 4 forwards on the bench.

I can see McQueen starting the year on the bench with a back row of 11\. Lawrence 12\. ET 13\. Hooth.

Agree with this.

I am most looking forward to seeing Mats in the front row. I think he is in for a big year.

This 2018 season start is different.

Most years, the team sort of picks itself, established players more or less, irrespective of form - reputation over not much competition in the squad outside the so-called top 17.

But wait - here's something new!
We have players vying for pozzies, and if morale keeps up, the players keep their spots on merit or are replaced by just as hungry players from the 2s.

Not easy to guess the coaching team's sway at this time, re second row, centre, wing etc.

Sure is different!

Well thats not great. McQueen I can understand taking more time, but Tui should have been owning it. Very disappointing!

That's what I think we'll see too. Considering how much game time Godinet got tonight he might be a chance of ousting McIllwrick, otherwise yeah that looks like what Ivan will run with.
