Marshall is the best option. Lolohea would be next (he's played some halfback before for the Warriors and took dominant play making resposibility for Tonga over Hingano). After that Gamble. Lolohea and Gamble are both better suited to a classic 5/8 role though.
 
Gamble has played at half back at Redcliffe. I have not seen him play there. Perhaps he should be given a run at half-back in the NSW Cup to see if he does have the chops in that position. We need a half back with a kicking game, someone to kick goals and someone to control Reynolds. Just an idea.

I would like to see that, who knows the pressure on Brooks might be something he needed. These first 6 rounds are against top quality teams and we wont be given to many opportunities and we will need to make the most of what we are given.

The passing from DH to Brooks hasn't helped him either but Brooks was easily read last night with Luke Lewis always 1 step ahead.

Yep I get that, actually pencilled in Gamble first, but Benji has been there, done that…gotta have some faith in him.

Personally why not have Lolohea in the 17 jersey ??

Yep thats another option (good to have a few). But if Tui needs to improve his fitness I reckon 80 mins in ISP at FB would be better than 20-30 off the bench in 1sts.

Either way I think Tui will play his way back into 1sts (if he is not there from the beginning) once his fitness is up to scratch, Thompson most likely moved to the wing for MWZ/Nofo. IC has mentioned a few times that our Rd 1 team most likely wont be the same one backing up towards the end of the year. So that suggests he is waiting on a few preferred options (Liddle, Tui, McQueen possibly) to prove their fitness before moving into 1sts.
 
1 Thompson is to good not to have at fullback
2 Lolohea is better in the halves as we preformed much better towards the end of last season with him there
3 Reynolds has to much experience not to have in the halves and has the ability to lift the whole team
4 Liddle will be our number 9 when fit
5 Gamble is a good player and when he is in the starting 17 he will be very hard to leave out
6 once our forwards of Packer Matalino Twal Eisenhuth McQueen Aloiai Taylor Rochow and Liddle start to fire
And they will
They will be very hard to stop
7 for us to make the 8 I think we need a centre pairing of Milne and Masters big bodies and can feed of each other when on a roll
8 the position on the ladder we would all be happy with after 26 rounds
After that anything is possible
