What's Geoff Toovey up to? Would be the perfect opportunity to hire some quality assistant coaches with 2 positions available

Agree, but Taylor may perceive Toovey as a threat to his position under the circumstances!!

Yeah most likely. I actually think it would be smarter for him to employ people who will increase the chances of the team performing better, this would only strengthen his job security imo. I think if he chooses to go with another one of his old team mates or whoever and the team performs poorly he would be sacked so in the other scenario if the team performs poorly he is either sacked or Toovey takes over there's not much difference really

Makes sense, but we are talking about Taylor so who knows what his train of thought is concerning the criteria for appointing assistant coaches. An experienced and well qualified assistant coach(es) would make his job that much easier and as you said increase his chances of remaining in the position but it will be interesting to see who he appoints!!

well, isn't that interesting.

I guess what is good about this is that if something is not working, the club is finally prepared to actually do something about it, but have they gotten rid of the right people who aren't working out though?

Still, at least the club is trying to be a bit proactive and trying to make changes it perceives as positive for the future.

lol…or maybe Reddy was surplus to requirements in the Coaching staff structures moving forward....

Tin-foil hats at the Reddy...carry on...

Lol

Compared to Craig Sanderwell & David Kidwell, yes Toovey would be far more qualified than the current assistant coaches and if Taylor's position comes under fire then Toovey would be a threat if he was a Tigers assistant coach (however we will never know)!!

We need assistant coaches that can offer more than, "run hard and straight."

_As current and former Manly players will tell you, Toovey is a basic coach. "Run hard, make a break, score a try is basically all he says," is how one player describes his methodology._

Please, no mention of Toovey coaching Wests.

Mail from the foot of the mountain is that Cameron accepted an offer to return to the Panthers, which was the reason for his departure.

My simple guess is that it was Reddy who told Farah he would be playing reserve grade, not Taylor. I think after the media storm from that died down, JT and the CEO mapped out the future of Reddy.

Just announced now so as not to look like a knee jerk reaction.

Only my thoughts

^ I agree. I'm pretty sure the media even said it was reddy. Regardless of scapegoat or not, that kind of unproffessionalism isn't warranted. It is hard to place professionalism into a workplace where it hasn't exsisted and sometimes a big penalty is needed to focus everybody involved.

Dont you guys even read the articles??
Reddy had been at the club for a couple of seasons before even JT was considered for head coach.
I love how its his fault though.

" **Reddy, a former Dragons and Steelers backrower who represented Australia in 17 Tests, has been part of the Tigers staff in recent seasons**"

That is odd…I thought he'd only been here a year too

Theres another blooper in the new coaching structure thread re: Stringer I think

Toovey is about to be named Australian head coach. That could be a reason why he wasn't approached for all you conspiracy theorists out there.

Why cant people come out and say they hate this club and hope it burns to the ground instead of coming on here and pretending to be fans. It'd make life a lot easier, dont you think??

I usually can't stand the true supporter brigade, but even my patience has been tested the last couple months.

If that is the case JT should have stepped in and said something along the lines of form and behaviour are the credentials for NRL selection after Reddy said that, he didn't and he is just as responsible as Reddy in my books.

NT Tiger my source isn't from Aaron Woods girlfriend, but from someone there on the day!

The message is the players support their Captain.

I have since been told Reddy is gone because of actions and comments that were devisive.

A number of people want to 'bag' Robbie on this forum, however they need to look at the events of last year!

Brian Smith review, Potter gone and all Smith's protégés, Taylor, Reddy and Smith's son on the coach in staff. Please!

Don't blame all on Robbie!

The way Robbie has handled the recent drama has indicated he has improved from last year! He has made mistakes but a West Tigers legend!

To remove you're Captain as they are trying is morally wrong!
