Fact is, he's just not NRL quality and we have many players younger and better than him.
No point wasting cap space on a bloke who will sit in NSW Cup for 20 odd weeks of the year.
You can't build a squad without solid journeymen like Reddy. Seems like people think we can have 3 or 4 marquee players and fill the rest with players fresh out of NYC. Doesn't work as simply as that.
Reddy had a terrible first year with us, and we know he was carrying chronic injuries, but this year he stood up and was consistent and played well.
Put him in Souths back line and he will flourish. He won't cost a packet, and will fill a needed gap for them, I'd lay money on it if I could.
We signed Richards to replace Reddy. There's your Journeyman.
He's surplus to our needs and he's not good enough.
