Referees. ..

I rarely complain about refs. Today was dreadful. We will end up the same same way as Super Rugby. They currently have a third les penalties than NRL. Only the die hard will continue watching NRL is this continues.

They were pretty dreadful, but I think we got away with a few crucial forward passes, so I score them 5/5.

That should never come in to the equation. They should be refereeing in the moment not thinking I need to end up with even penalty count. Refereeing today was disgraceful. BUT OUR BALL CONTROL WAS WORSE

Yep pretty much as I expected .. ref 1, "what's the penalty count" … ref 2, "that's 8 to 3 against the Tigers" ... ref 1, "ok thanks i better penalise them a few more" Don't have to guess which one was Penanara .. !!

Gavin Badger surely had to be the Senior referee in this instance but was Casey a distraction on the touch line, in another forum I've stated that for a former player Henry Perenara has little empthathy for the game, is he out of his depth?

Badger was called in last moment to replace another red that went injured.

Badger came in to replace the 2nd ref, hence why Henry was ref no1

Pathetic as usual. Their biggest error was missing the 2-3 metre forward pass for our first try which ultimately got us the points. We need stats on where, when and why penalties are given as refs use them to manage games. A total penalty count might not suggest bias, but not all penalties are equal.

I'm glad i checked the date being 2018, could have sworn it was similar effort from a ref from late 70's early 80's…..
