Referees

If you are really unhappy with a ref Robbie should just walk up and say " If this refereeing does not improve we are walking" Had a captain I played with do this to a referee and we did not get 1 more penanlty against us for the rest of the game .

It's a shame park footy isn't the same to contracted, NRL footy then :unamused:

Had some shocking calls. The report on Wallace, biggest waste of time ever, missed the clear obstruction we put on Parker, terrible call on Thaiday "playing the ball too early". I had a sports ear on, Suttor called surrender. Such a farce.

And THOSE were the calls that went our way. The offsides, the "high shot" that was a complete phantom to the 20,000 at the game. It was woeful. Such an embaressing game from them. I'm not one to say we got ripped off by refs, in fact even tonight I think we had some ridiculous calls go our way.

Was trying to make a point by that comment . Prince is a perfect example Can remember a few years ago in a game against tigers where he was heard to say to ref and was picked up by mics "I see you have your black and gold jocks on" Its making a point without arguing with the ref , remember refs are human and they can be swayed one way or the other as in shown in home games Crowd makes a heap of noise and they get a penalty for their team But yeah refs were bad tonight both ways totally agree

Suttor can't ref the bloke is an Imbo no doubt about it.

But we have a coach that can not instill Mongrel and our forwards get trampled every week and it's been happening for years.

Sheens is a crap coach and his stats prove it. Piss him off now so we can salvage our season.

the refs were crap lets face it. i've been to a lot of games in my time but the anger in the crowd last night was amazing…

btw i don't mind sheens - i remember the pre-sheens era and shudder - but wouldn't mind steve folkes getting a more active say in the running of the team. he knew how to turn forwards into a fearsome pack

I was worried when I heard the betting plunge was on the Tigers, I said at the ground that the referees would cane us and I was right. The referees read the paper as well and maybe try to go too much the other way.

The penalty count may have ended up 9-7 to them but I will need to watch the game again but my impression live is they always got a penalty when they needed one. Also thought they layed all over us to slow down our play the balls and got away with it all night. Suttor was the worst of the 2 last night but Archer when he had the Broncos back about 7 meters all night and still had Bronco players in front of him didn't help either.

Both teams started very slow and sluggish. The Bronks than scored their first soft try than got that very dubious refs call. The rest the half they were piggy backed down field in attack on the back of some really poor calls and their defense was aided by a terrible ten meters. So of course they got the momentum and possession and that will kill off the best of opposition.

In saying all that we were very average, no line speed,no attack speed and no hunger. This team at present will struggle to beat the bye
