Its educated. But do what
The part I dont understand is Albanese catching up with Bill Gates. The computer guy. And I respect your opinion. 100% Weary. 100%. I dont want to argue. Our country is in a good position. Albanese has kept all his promises. We are in good shape.
Really , where’s the $275 reduction in power bills , mine has gone up by nearly $300 extra a quarter, that idiot Bowen will sent us all broke 🥴

100% accurate.
To tell another story, I have a mate working as a diesel mechanic on a very prominent station. Part of his job is too travel out into the dessert and fetch the odd vehicle that has been left out there. They are usually government funded brand new Landcruisers that have been left on the side of the road where they ran out of fuel.
Chucking money at problems doesn’t work. NO ONE appreciates free money as much as money they’ve earned.
All fair points. To me it really underlines the point that whatever is happening is not working. The Voice at worst is a body no one listens to and the status quo is maintained. At best it shines a light of the exact things you've spoken about, it holds governments to account and is accountable in itself for its advice.

I actually admire you for what you do for the Aboriginal community - with providing jobs. But it also seems like genuinely care about finding solutions with Youth issues and you highly value the opinions of Indigenous Elders.
Thankyou.
Like I said, I have a foot in both camps.
I speak rough of them occasionally but it’s mostly from a place of love.

It works in theory, heavily doubt it works in practice.

I live in FNQ and have spent my life travelling and living in the top end.
If often travel west and spend time in camps and stations as I go.
There is plenty of housing, plenty of work, plenty of benefits, huge health care pushes with dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander clinics and marketing drives on stuff like smoking, post natal care, drinking and domestic violence prevention.
It is a city perspective that they are forgotten about. They are provided with far more than poor non indigenous living in the same areas.
My friends sister worked on Mornington Island as a Aboriginal social worker for 8 years many many stories they got alot when she was there and trashed it but different culture also worked in South Australia in a Aboriginal community and the residents got brand new cars for some reason so stupid when most of the cars ran out of petrol they just left them on the side of the road

The Nationals leader David littleproud has some great ideas to help

I wonder why they run out of petrol.

Firstly, thank you to those that have tried explaining the whole topic as best they can. I actually feel I learned more from you than from either 'faction'.

And for me, there-in lies the rub.

We are expected to vote, very soon, on what may, or may not, be a change to our constitution that gives great weight, rightly or wrongly, to a specific section of the greater Australian community.

And we are expected to do this with no set outcome detailed, no real information on the expected outcomes, potential outcomes, or even the desired outcomes.

This is not an anti-Labor post. The opposition to the vote have done equally as bad at informing the people.

My point, for what it is, is that for all the people out there like me, like some of you, that don't KNOW what this will do or mean to the future- we are being FORCED to decide without the details being laid out for us.

For that- the responsibility (and fault) lies with Albenese, his government & the people pushing for the change. It is THEIR job to make us want to go along with them. And frankly, they haven't convinced people. Not enough people.

It might be coming from the best place in their hearts & minds. But it is incomplete. If you want to change a constitution, you don't do it without the people that are voting for it KNOWING it's for the better.

In court- you are innocent until proven guilty. The onus is on proving guilt. If you can't- case dismissed. For a referendum- you can't pass something we hope might be better, maybe.

Are you a lecturer, scholar, writer or doctor by any chance Chad?
Haha...no mate.

This feels like an opportunity to run that tab like Tom Hanks does in Saving Private Ryan where they try to guess his career away from the war..

Not smart enough to be any of the above roles. I am in the medical field however. And did pretty good in English back in the day. 😀

Dont buy your first sentence. Have to call bullshit on that. The rest is palpable.
