Every Parra drop in the ruck was a penalty, every one of ours was a knock on. The Mannah one was the worst, crucial too seeing as we just let a try in and would have been on the attack.

For the most part, the boys dug in hard. Radradras tries despite the bad defense were both scored off bad ref decisions the set before, so it never should have gotten to that.

Of course it's a rort guys, but I don't think it's gambling. They are Instructed to help certain teams win at certain times. A few weeks ago they didn't want saints to win cos if they did the top 4 would move 3 points clear of 5th and they want the comp close. Saints copped a hammering that night by the ref. Tonight, the a tigers are cinsidered gone but Parra can make a run and make the top 8 interesting coming to the end of the season, so they were instructed for Parra to win.

Each week it depends on the table in who gets the leg up. Believe me it's happening

i was at cumberland oval when someone king hit keith page.in 1966.he had trouble refereeing both sides as did darcy lawler.

i felt like smashing the tv after watching some of those decisions. i am not a violent man but that was blatant one sided decisions.

We'd probably be the last team pinged for it. But when Josh Drinkwater gets blocked? No worries.

you know when the security have to escort the refs off the field its because it was a absolute disgusting piece of refereeing… if the NRL tell the security to escort them off well obviously they know there is a problem....

I think that, overall, we've had a fair go with the refs so far this season (go back and check the penalty counts from previous matches), but tonight there was a clear bias against us and it needs to be called out by Taylor.

I'm not saying we would've won if the penalty count was more even, because clearly we have a lot of inexperience and some serious defensive issues, but it would've been nice to, at least, be given a chance to see what the team could've done in attack more in the second half. An overly lopsided penalty count just zaps the energy out of the team on the wrong end of it and ruins the match completely.

Don't even get me started on that play , wasn't the Parra player who got the ball after the first kick off side

I'm becoming more and more convinced that in the next few years we will hear if a major inquiry into referees gambling on games. There's no other explanation for things like:
1) Disallowing Tedesco's try
2) Taking so long to award Richards' and seemingly looking for a reason to disallow it.
3) Neglecting to penalise the blatant late shot on Tedesco and only doing so after a second late shot on Cherrington.

I used to think it was just incompetence by the refs but it's gone way beyond that.

I've said the same before in another thread.

They surely can't be this incompetent in a professional sport.

You forgot the 5 penalties for knock ons they got.

That list was only put together at half time. Completely agree with you. As has been said, I hope Taylor comes out and says something. It's worked for Stuart in the past.

We needed to get an AFL coach in 3-4 years ago.

We are useless under the high ball, apart from Teddy, and have been way too long.

Kind of ironic since our only play is the high ball in attack.

The problem with that is the stupid thing if having to make an on field call.
The reason it gets sent to the video ref in the first place is because the on field ref doesn't know. The fact they have to make a guess first ( and that's all it us, a guess) is a complete joke.
It means tries might as well be decided by the toss of a coin.
