Referrees....

Straight after tonight's match I switched from Foxtel to an ABC Four Corners program on the Mafia in Australia. Something seemed similar.

Taylor will "talk to Tony Archer" after tonight according to Wests Tigers twitter. WIsh he would just spray. Badger has murdered us 2 weeks running but he is seen as a top ranking official. NRL is losing the plot and soon the fans will be lost due to it. WIsh we weren;t the only team who were smashed weekly by refs it's a joke.

Lol.. Talk is cheap. Archer won't change a thing.

For all the let's not blame the refs… A few stats for you

Since 2013, Badge has reffed in 11 Tigers games. Tigers have won penalty count once and hold a 2-9 H2H record.

Penalty Count? Tigers 59, Opp 91.

Is it just me or would the majority of those games be games we are a 50/50 chance of winning ??

So obviously not talking about games v Roosters ,Manly ,Melbourne etc

You'd think if the refs were having a bet on a match, they wouldn't make their bias so blatantly obvious. Nah, there's something more going on than just betting.

Well that's what I was getting at Flip

Matt Elliott was on Grandstand yesterday and said the difference between finishing 8th and 9th was probably at least 500 k with sponsorship ,everything

We keep missing out on that sponsorship ,etc every year and having the NRL in a sense controlling us , you do start asking questions about the NRL's plans for us into the future

I love a good conspiracy theory lol. I reckon the whole comp is controlled - who stays in and who is relocated, who wins, who loses, who makes the 8 and how far they're allowed to go. After seeing what happened to the Cowboys in the finals 2 years running and the ever-degrading standard of refereeing, you really have to wonder.

They aren't on the take..they are just incompetent….

Teddy's "No TRY' is the perfect example....goes up a TRY it's a TRY...

It's a fact of life - when you are down there is a chance you will be trodden on.

And the further down the ladder you are any chance of a close call or a 50/50 going your way are minimal. When you are 16th in the comp playing teams with a chance of semi finals, absolutely no chance at all.

Tell me another professional sport where week in week out you can name the officials as if they were players and you fear certain ones over others. They are meant to officiate, not blatantly control the game and influence its outcome. They should be faceless shadows but all they are is cheating crooks who take it upon themselves to ruin teams in 80 minutes. It's a farce and as others have pointed out with the NRL ordering security to escort the refs off the park that something stinks.

Maybe the club isn't paying enough bribes or we don't have the right blackmail photos to exert our own influence. The game is a laughing stock compared to some other sports already, no wonder clubs like ours 'celebrate' 7,000 members and those like Hawthorn and CollingwoodClubpin 7777 on in the AFL easily pass 70,000 each year. Yes I acknowledge the Mexicans are a unique breed, but ten fold has to say something, and clearly the clowns running our game aren't listeningu

The Refs need to be made accountable for their terrible and biased decisions. Till that happens we won't see any change.
Come on….Get it together NRL. Make the changes. 😕

Teddys try was a try for every other team except us.

It looked at definite try on the big screen at the game. Yes I am bias, but to everyone there it looked like the ball was grounded

The problem with that is the stupid thing if having to make an on field call.
The reason it gets sent to the video ref in the first place is because the on field ref doesn't know. The fact they have to make a guess first ( and that's all it us, a guess) is a complete joke.
It means tries might as well be decided by the toss of a coin.

I agree Sabre. It's a joke. The sooner they get rid of it the better.

We were never a hope with Badger as the ref. What will be done about it - Jack Squat! Anyone who still thinks refs dont influence the outcome of games in this competition is kidding themselves.

Trying to blame the refs is piss weak when we lose to the hapless Eels by 12 and we've lost what, 10 of the past 12?

This is on the players pure and simple.

However there are still things to hope for:
1) We avoid the spoon.
2) Youngsters improve.
3) The Dragons miss the 8.
4) Taylor does a clean out of the dead wood.

I never blame the referees, and think they cop a bad wrap.
Tonight we were robbed. The refs killed us.

Please change the rule to the super 15's "Is there any reason I cannot award this a try" takes the video ref trying to not award or award out of the question

Just got home from the game and haven't had a chance to look at Badger's decisions as to whether we deserved to be caned the way we were but my feeling at the game was he smashed us and as a result our blokes had to fight against the eels lopsided percentage of ball and field position in the second half. Someone who watched it on TV may prove me wrong but at the game Badger ruined our chances.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that in the next few years we will hear if a major inquiry into referees gambling on games. There's no other explanation for things like:
1) Disallowing Tedesco's try
2) Taking so long to award Richards' and seemingly looking for a reason to disallow it.
3) Neglecting to penalise the blatant late shot on Tedesco and only doing so after a second late shot on Cherrington.

I used to think it was just incompetence by the refs but it's gone way beyond that.

I am starting to wonder about this as well they are in an ideal position for such suggestions.
