Rep team build up...more tigers plz!

If Galloway only misses 1 week I reckon he's a chance. If Farah's injury does not deteriorate any further and he continues to play like he did against Souths then he'll also be a chance. Ennis showed how useless he is behind a beaten forward pack against the Dragons today.

I think they're the only two Tigers players in with a chance right now.

Who cares. Why would you want to risk your best players like farah, Galloway and co on a lost cause. Would rather win the premiership close this thread

Well I am sure the players care . If they think that they can't make rep sides playing for the Tigers maybe they might be tempted to go elsewhere .

I have zero faith in Ricky Stuart and the NSW selectors.

ZERO.

i agree zero confidence
bet they do something stupid like put bird at 5/8 or lock, pick jennings who has done nothing for 2 seasons, weyman who is continually out played the list goes on

Nah! Let saints get decimated by SOO, so everyone gets a chance at the premiership. IN reality, I would love to see Farah get the hooking spot over Ennis…....but who knoes what the powers that be think.

I definitely think Ayshford should be a City/Country selection. The guy has come a long way. Good defensively, and makes metres everytime he gets the ball. Looking stronger and stronger in tackles. Gun.

From the little I've seen of Woods, I think he's a smokey for City/Country too. He's rough, and just did not stop working those two games he played. Reminded me of Dallas Johnson in some ways.

Others like Fifita and Dwyer need to be more consistent. It would also be nice if Sheens compared Dwyer to someone besides Bradley Clyde so that commentators would have something else to reference when Simon does something well.

Heighno clearly deserves selection but it seems people in key places have already decided against him.

It would be a nice gesture if Payten got SOO, but really, there are younger, better players. City/Country is the limit for the guy. Wests Tigers legend undoubtedly.

You have to remember the Boys will want to play Representative Footy, so we should be supportive.

Bryce Gibbs - City (too many guys in front of him for NSW, and traditionally they dont pick domestic props)
Farah - NSW (is clearly the number 2 Hooker to Smith and should get his chance)
Galloway - NSW (has been a long time coming, and will go close for a bench spot)
Dwyer - City (the next step in his development and considering the Aussie Backrow are all NSW, they wont be available)
Heighington - Country (first or second guy picked and again, wont get a chance for SOO due to the players in front of him)
Ayshford - City (the next step in his development)
Moltzen - Country (probably not ready yet, but could get a bench spot due to his versatility and natural talent)

Lawry was a lock but that is old news now. Heighno Alone is deserving of a Blue Jersey at the moment.

Dean young and Ennis are playing crap as displayed in yesterdays game. Robbie has a chance if his injury goes away totally. They will not play him injured as NSW were burnt badly last time that happened.

Gal has the potential if he finds that missing mongral. TLL for me is in the same boat and he gets a run.

If both these guys click then look out.

Still a few games to go….

I agree Spartan. But did I hear in the commentary yesterday someone say Ennis did his reputation no harm even tho the Bullfrogs were spanked? Talk about media support. Happy to be corrected if I misheard (and geez I hope I'm wrong)

Ennis was running around yesterday like a blue arsed fly, getting into everything in a transparent attempt to get the origin nod.

They dropped Farah after 2 losses but we're to believe that Ennis deserves another go after 3 losses? He shouldn't get picked just based on his continued habit of picking fights and then running away. That's certainly not the actions of an "origin-type player." Do these people also forget Benny Elias?
As for Dean Young, the guy doesn't even play 80 minutes at club level. He will only get picked so they can find something for Kurt Gidley to do.

Can't see Payten getting picked but god knows NSW desperately needs some ball-playing forwards. The selectors though don't seem to watch the games so once again we'll end up a team where of our best attacking option is stuck on the wing, our captain on the bench, and blokes who get smashed year after year at SOO level keep getting picked in the forwards.

Glad this thread sparked some conversations.

Whilst I agree with some comments regarding having no players selected - so the Tigers are stronger during SOO, I also want the players to be recognised for their great contributions week in week out for the tigers. they deserve a shot at what is considered the pinnacle of the sport.

There are only four certainties in this years Origin side.

1\. Hayne
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
13\. Gallen
12.
11.
10.
9\. Ennis
8

14\. Gidley
15.
16.
17.

I agree RE: Ennis Yoss, Farah is smart. At least if he is going to start a fight, he'll finish the job AND get the penalty!

Unfortunately, you are not wrong, Team Tiger. I heard that comment too and thought what a load of crap! Media pushing the bandwagon yet again :blah

For what it's worth, I reckon Ennis, Gallen, Gasnier, Hayne, Watmough and Gidley are shoe-ins. Not real sure about anyone else though. Can't see any Tigers making it. They will not risk Farah with an injury and Galloway has Snowden, TLL, Mannah, Kite, King, White and now probably Tolman in front of him - well in the eyes of the selectors, at least
