Im with Geo… If Brown and Daniela are playing together on the left for BRET, they should get first crack. This is the reason why the State Cup Squad was merged!!!

This week it should be Brown and Daniela, they are good players but to be honest I am not sure they are suited to our attacking style down the left hand side. Is moving Ashyford and Utai to the left a stupid idea? In my opinion they are better suited to the style Benji plays on the left.

I would use the 20's to have a look at Tagive at left centre, if he is like his brother he would go well their. What side does wing does Faleula Finau play? He is a promising winger. We need a good left hand side as that is were we attack best.

It's great that we've got some depth… with so many awesome players out, we still have a pretty good looking team!

One question, and i'm fairly new here and I apologise, but what does BRET stand for? Does it refer to reserve grade?

Okay… a fairly cursory look around the site gave me the answer.

Still happy about our depth... and Benji looked pretty comfortable playing down the right side, he set up a great try for Utai.

I hope Lote comes back soon though... it's not the same team without him!

Dont weaken one position to strengthen another, it has to be daniella for chris & brown lote, also if lui is out what about miller @ half & we have a pretty fair kicker as well & we can use moltzen off the bench.

Can Daniela play on the left? I know Ayshford is comfortable switching to the left, but does that mean we will have 2 midgets in Utai and Daniela on the same side on the right? Im not keen on that. Either Utai or Daniela has to switch to the left. Utai to partner Ayshford and Daniela to partner Brown. Just have to work out which pairing plays on which side.

Reason 4 MacKinnon to half back he is a good support player . He is stronger in defence than Moltzen . He can play out of dummy half and free Farah to play 1st reciever . He played 1st reciever at times 4 Warriors .Just an Idea !!!

Brown is ridiculously strong, I can't ever remember him being pushed back when he's tackled someone head on.

and he runs hard too, would do well in the centres I think.

But is he a better centre than daniella? he's certainly much better at fullback then he is on the wing…

Noticed that Brown and Meaney where training with the first grade squad on saturday night at the game, there was no sign of daniela, though i do hope they pick daniela and brown anyhow.

Brown to centre and Meaney at wing would be my first preferences as well… but Sheens has other ideas *sigh*

Evidently I was wrong. Did not expect Sheens to throw him in so soon. Fingers crossed he handles himself well and helps take some of the pressure off Benji with the kicking.
