Reports - Jarryd Hayne Signs With Gold Coast Titans

Now Haynes credibility is taking another hit.
Quite a few people are questioning his statements in regards to full honesty.

Now Parra have released a statement that they did put an offer to Hayne after all morning Hayne lamenting that he received nothing.

Is Ayoub his manager, too?

NRL: Parramatta Eels salary cap scandal turned off Hayne

By Paul Zalunardo

Coast Titans signing Jarryd Hayne has blamed the instability at Parramatta for not returning to the club where he made his name. Hayne, who may return to the NRL as early as this weekend after signing a two-year, $2.4million deal, said the off-field dramas at the Eels and the lack of a formal offer had forced his hand. "I waited as long as I could to get a formal offer off Parra,’’ Hayne said. "I was put in this situation, I had never thought of playing for another club. But with the way the board has been and the divisions behind the club, it has torn it apart."

The united front and off-field stability at the Gold Coast appealed to the two-time Dally M Player of the Year winner. "At the end of the day I wanted to play footy this year," Hayne said. "The way that the board is at Parra and the things that have gone on this year, we couldn’t get something done.

"It is sad (not to be going back to the Eeels), it hurts me just as much as I know it hurts the fans down there.
"I’m sure over the coming days and weeks everyone is going to have their opinion of things. "It is hard to put your finger on one thing, but I believe everything happens for a reason. It is what it is."

Titans coach Neil Henry hinted Hayne could play this weekend when the New Zealand Warriors visit Robina on Sunday. The Titans are in seventh-place on the ladder with five rounds remaining before the finals.

Eels fans angry after Jarryd Hayne signs with Gold Coast Titans

Jarryd Hayne is facing bitter backlash from Parramatta Eels fans, after he signed a two-year deal with the Gold Coast Titans. The former Eels star will play for the Queensland team as early as this weekend after abandoning the pursuit of a career in the US NFL. But even though he expressed regret about not being able to re-sign with the Eels, the 28-year-old is being criticised on social media for signing with a rival club.

In a press conference this morning, Hayne said it had been an “emotional” decision to not join the club he supported as a child. “At the end of the day, I wanted to play footy this year and the way that board is at Parra and the things that have gone on there this year, we couldn’t get something done,” he said.

I've heard this song before. NRL and club loyalty

Parramatta Eels fans turn on Jarryd Hayne after broken promise
The Daily Telegraph
August 3, 2016 12:41pm

WHEN Jarryd Hayne walked out on the Parramatta Eels in October 2014 he penned an impassioned letter to the ‘Blue and Gold army’ of loyal Parra fans.

‘For the past 24 months I’ve been thinking about having a crack in the NFL, and over the last 12 months I’ve been seriously considering it,’ wrote Hayne. ‘Today I can officially announce that I will be heading to the United States to pursue an opportunity to play American Football.’

Having broken the hearts of loyal fans Hayne wanted to make it clear just how much the club meant to him:

‘It hasn’t been an easy decision for me to leave the Eels, the club’s been my home and family since I was 13, and I’ve always been proud to pull on the Blue and Gold jersey with my teammates.’

And then Hayne finished with his now infamous promise:

‘I’m leaving knowing that I have signed a ‘lifetime agreement’ with the Eels, so if I return to the NRL, it will be to Parramatta.’

As we now know, Hayne’s promise meant nothing with this morning’s news that the former Eels, San Francisco 49ers and Fiji Sevens ‘star’ is set to become a Gold Coast Titan.

Unsurprisingly Parramatta fans have not taken the latest news well:

Two sides of the coin…
Parramatta supporters turn on Hayne for being disloyal to the club he loves and signing elsewhere.
WestsTigers fans turn on Farah for wanting to be loyal to the club he loves and are happy with whatever the club does to force him out.

Farah is not being forced out. If he plays the way the coach tells him to he'll be selected, no problems. Oh well!

I'm liking this guy less and less with every headline and contract he signs. Money chasing, disloyal and seems incapable of persisting with any decisions he makes!

We think we got it bad, try being a Parra fan.

* Hayne decides he wants to ''fulfill a dream playing NFL''. Parra fans are saying ''That sucks, but good on him following his dream. And hey, look at all this cash in the salary cap we're going to have left over''

* Parra make a big offer to Foran. They're thinking ''See, all that money will be put to good use''.

* He almost reneges. Sterlo comes out and says he's the most important signing in the clubs history and the club needs him.

* Foran is a disaster whose personal life is a train wreck and seeks a release. Parra fans are thinking ''That sucks, but hey, Jarryd will be back next yr''.

* Hayne signs with the Titans

You couldn't make this up. I've heard of curses before, but this is something else.

Maybe HIllsong wanted $120k rather than the $80k they would have wanted as ten percent of the Parra offer.

Yeah it's pretty bad alright. Not to mention the Corey Norman and Radradra dramas, who were both going gangbusters before it all hit the fan! I don't think I've seen as much bad luck hit a team all in one season. Makes the Farah/Taylor soap opera pale into insignificance really. We'd have a complete meltdown if all that happened here!

anyway, well done to the tits. no one deserves it more than them.

I wouldn't go that far- the Titans are far from cleanskins. Maybe they offered to build a free house for him as an added bonus on top of his $1 million+ per season he would be on? The old "Scotty Prince sweetener" type of agreement.

Where has all their cash come from all of a sudden? Hurrell and Peats have both jumped on board this season and they still have a million bucks spare to pay Hayne for the next 2 and a bit seasons…..mmmm. Hello Graham Annersley!

A Gold Coast travel agent has stumped up 300k in a TPA .
Plus Hayne promised to buy the house that the Titans built for Cherry - evans … Formerly Scott Prince's joint !

Good on them, bet they're glad Cherry Evans didn't end up signing with them - dodged a bullet!

Hayne Cherry Evans

Look at all the dominoes that have fallen since, Cherry is playing like a busted at Manly, Sezer took off and is playing okay at Canberra, Ash Taylor comes in and is playing out of his skin and now they get Jarryd Hayne. Cherry backflipping has only worked out well for the club.

Absolutely MM , Good Karma has come back to them .

The Cherry Evans back flip has been a God send for them , i know the the Titans Club Doctor and a couple of Months back he reckons the Titans Organisation can't speak highly enough of Neil Henry .
Good on them , tickets are selling fast for there game vs the Warriors this Weekend ( local Radio Stations reporting ) , Hayne is the type of player that will put bum on seats , i will be watching with interest this Weekend.
