Revamp the footy show

The League Lounge on Fox is a great show, absolutely kills The Footy Show. It has the right mix of comedy, star power and football. The balance between jokes and actually talking footy is great.

I watched the Footy Show for the first time last week when I was in Sydney for the Tigers game, and whilst the show was funny at times, there was a total lack of the shows bloody name sake (footy)!!!!

Get rid of the cheap gags and skits, find some good material and actually talk football!

Love the League Lounge, expect sometimes with the non RL guest they get sidetracked and talk about what they do, instead of the game. Otherwise it's a good show, and something different compared to most RL shows.

Footy Show has been a joke for ten years.

Sack Fatty, bring back Sterlo, get rid of the competitions and sketches. Don't let Weidler anywhere near the show if you want it to regain any credibility.

An hour and half of tactical footy discussion is all good and well, however it wouldn't get an audience.

A large proportion of armchair league fans are only interested in watching their own team on TV. They couldn't possibly handle a footy show which only mentions their team for an 1/8th of the show.

As someone mentioned, The Footy Show is more a variety show with a league flavour. And as much as league tragics say they hate it because there is not enough footy talk, enough people still tune in to watch it for what it is - a light comedy/variety show.

I watch it, I find it funny for the most part. It is raw and not rehearsed - so yes sometimes I am laughing at the utter stupidy.

Being one of those league tragics who loves watching all 8 games on the weekend if I can, I know to tune into one of the other league shows if I want a tactics/footy fix.

Channel 9 rigs the silly Logie awards.

I watch Beau knows online now and I never have to watch that rubbish any more

when it comes to footy shows,the AFL leaves the NRL for dead.The AFL shows on fox are better,as are the presenters.The ex-league players are hopless on the NRL shows.Tallis can't even string a coherent sentence together without using the word 'mate' or the term 'you know what i mean'.Guys like Sailor,Johns and Fittler talk out of their nose

on the other side of the coin the ex-players on the AFL panel's can actuallly speak properly.Where the AFL has it over the NRL is that they just don't employ presenters because they were superstars on the field.They employ ex-players who are able to communicate verbally

someone needs to tell channel 9 and fox that great players don't neccessarily make great presenters

I still catch the show every now and then, I enjoy it in small doses, but apart from the grand final show I would struggle to sit through a whole episode. Vautin is at least 5 years past his used by date, yet they only seem to change the people around him and wonder what's wrong with the ratings. However the ratings and popular opinion of the show have taken such a heavy beating I doubt it'll ever get back to where it was.

Why revamp it? If channel 9 were smart they would piss it off altogether! Every show comes to an end, eventually, and the One HD footy shows are far superior.

rubbish show, cant believe its lasted this long with vautin as the main host. they need a change like the afl one did couple of years back.

i watch it here and there but its really becoming lame and boring.

i swear that everytime i do flick it on its the same 4-5 footy players on rotation or who are on or live telecasting into the show…lockyer, thurston, thaiday, hindmarsh. i dont know if theyre contracted to the show like some players but they seem to be on it every time i watch.
