Even if we get $250,000 back on our cap, add that to the $350,000 for the Robbie Farah debacle and all of a sudden we have $600'000
Or is the $350,000 debacle only now $280,000 this year because of the 20% pay cut
Are you confused yet

Paying $500k of a salary for another club shows me we still struggle big time with our roster and cap management.
A shiny new gym won't fix that.

but but...never mind

Where's that Pascoe quote about not doing this type of thing again...

Whichever way, it's a win-win.

Look at it another way - the club is simply reducing/saving its rehabilitation costs/overheads.

(hopeful good spin on reality)

New coach has definitely helped though. Best thing he’s done was refuse to upgrade Marsters contract - something old coaches probably would’ve done no question. Madge was intent on fixing our cap and he’s done a pretty good job so far

Good thing is at the end of 2020 no one can have any excuses .....coach , club , players or fans

If we still are the pretenders in 2021 , heads need to roll ...lots of heads

I would not have paid 500k to move him on. Are you going to get a better player for the money he frees up

Having a former NRL player in ISP who is a club stalwart at Canterbury will not do WTs or JR any good. By returning to Canterbury it could be a Benny in head bandages during. SOO. moment. Good luck to him. Well played WTs.

Great question

But (in Madge fixing our cap) - doesn;t the savings get then added to whatever we already have available to spend?

Whether it's 2020 or 2021 we are supposed to have a bucket load of money ....if we can't fix this place with the supercoach we never will

That will forever be the case if you can't hold onto a coach for more than 3 years.

He’s the best we’ve had in a while - he needs to finish his contract and maybe even get extended depending on how he does. We’ve struggled because we’ve had new coaches every year and a half.

Madge is genuinely building the club and you can see he’s planning for the future and not just the present (like a lot of our previous coaches) so we need to give him time to build the roster he wants. We are headed in the right direction I feel, hopefully my hopes aren’t shattered again

Hi guys hearing from my contact we are now paying north of 500k for Reynolds deal a bit high but he probably needs to go. It will leave us with 250k not much to buy anyone with

I’d be happy with him 🔥
Very talented and also young. Hasn’t been great for a few years.but same could be said about the whole dragons squad

unpopular decision by some on here but hearing very very strong mail we are after euan aitkin potentially a release for this year from dragons but more likely next year

ohhhhh hell no!!!!

Brent Read talking on triple M seems to think the deal is unlikely to happen, with money being the big sticking point. Bulldogs not keen on paying much for him at all
