Anything over 450 and we’d be idiots to let him go

For next year, yeah, definitely if based on $750k salary, though even harder for me to determine the figure for this year as I am uncertain as to what has already been paid. Pretty sure we paid full freight for the five months up until March, but unsure as to how it pans out after that?

Even thats way way over the $$$s figure that is being negotiated from WT side of things and that I think Madge would be comfortable with and allow.

I think he still rates him and as far as I’m concerned to pay large amount for him to play for another club for the next two years would just be a waste. He still ticks quite a few boxes and is fit and motivated. He is due for some good luck.

One paper today is saying Dogs have gone cold on the idea and are looking at Wakeham. And Foran. This might have been all about. Putting some pressure on Foran to accept a much lower contract for next year and beyond.

That article could also be the bulldogs trying to pressure Tigers into giving them a better price for Reynolds.... you never know with the papers, everything has an agenda

Will Wests Tigers be dopey enough to pay over 1/2 a million dollars for Reynolds to play for Canterbury....8 ball says sure ..why not..lets go to 650K..

Did Wests Tigers pay a substantial amount to remove Adam Blair after he contributed little as far as effort is concerned?

Paying $500k of a salary for another club shows me we still struggle big time with our roster and cap management.
A shiny new gym won't fix that.

New coach has definitely helped though. Best thing he’s done was refuse to upgrade Marsters contract - something old coaches probably would’ve done no question. Madge was intent on fixing our cap and he’s done a pretty good job so far

I've pinned all my hope for this club to Madge.

Youve never struck me as a real hopeful kinda guy Gal

Talk in riddles you do. Happen this thing, this desire, this expectation one is feeling.

But how much have we got/lost from the deal is much more important.

If he was on 750 k that equates to 62.5 k a month. I think i read somewhere as well that full payment was made to March so thats 4 months @62,5k = 250k. Supposedly there has been a 20% decrease in salary since then so that would be 3 months @ 50k = 150k. Assuming all that is correct we have already paid him 400k for this season. If that 20% is applied to the remainder of the contract there is only 250K still to be paid for this year. We shouldn;t being paying a cent for the remainder of this year.

Would think if true the announcement would be tomorrow as he wouldn’t be at training and everything

You've just been snookered
Its very unlikely that Madge and the Club will pay anywhere near that
If Reynolds loves playing football then he will also need to compromise
Wests Tigers, Canterbury Bulldogs and Josh Reynolds all need to come to an agreement or Reynolds league career will almost certainly be over unless injury sticks our team.
I guess Josh has a decision to make
Take a pay cut of sorts (compromise) and join the Dogs, which will be much better for his mental health after the issues he has to put up with of late
Playing should allow him to concentrate on playing the game and not his past

Or stay with the Wests Tigers and at best hope for a bench spot if someone in our team was to get injured.

Sitting on the sidelines would all but end his career after his Tigers contract ends

But that's just my opinion
