Reynolds back to Bulldogs?

Geez - I hope Meaney isn't reading this. He just got compared to Tim Moltzen but slower and with less of a sidestep!
If that's true we should sign my 12 yr old daughter - she's got more pluck than Moltzen ever had. On my list of the top ten "Biggest joke of a footballer to ever pull on a Tigers jersey" - I have Bwaith Anasta in positions 1 through to 9 and Moltzen as 10!

Do you realise that Moltz played with a metal plate in his head?

Not to mention his ACL injuries ..that finally took it's toll and virtually crippled the bloke..supporters might not have liked him but to question his courage and pluck is laughable..

On Reynolds saw a snippet on the news he has the blessing of the players to return to the Dogs...

He was all over the place.... Showed unbelievable ticker at times yet others.he really dogged it and then had the hide to rip.into team mates for errors.. Not really the player I'd wanna play with

Surely there's a super league team that could use JRs skill set and he would probably kill it over there too. I'm sure Madge has probably already put those feelers out tho. Oh well, JR will probably be just another Greg Eastwood.

Or Braith Anasta, Matt Ballin, Nick Graham, Nathan Cayless, Jarrod McCracken, Ryan O'Hara, Sam Harris, Adam Blair......by Christ our club has thrown some money down the toilet over the years (whether by bad luck or bad management). Hope our fortunes turn around soon re: value for money from high-paid recruits. We would surely have the worst strike rate over the last 20 years as far as dud buys go.

Unfair to include McCracken in among those, his career was ended because he was speared.

The decision now rests in the hands of the Bulldogs board and if rubber stamped, could see Reynolds in Bulldogs colours as early as next week (Daily Telegraph)

Hopefully we aren't carrying too much of the freight. We'll have to subsidise him somewhat but if we get what we want out of it, it'll be another decent move by Madge to free up some coin, especially if we have no idea what the cap is going to look like and our benefactor isn't able to go back to trading right away.

Seriously, any savings will be a savings - there's no Reserve Grade, so why have these $$$ not even on the field.

According to the report Tigers want bulldogs picking up half of Reynolds contract - would be good for us for sure. All up to the bulldogs now apparently hopefully they sort it soon

We’re gonna have lots of salary cap next season. Lots of development players joining the top squad on lesser contracts, most likely quite a few older guys moving on or signing contracts at a reduced price means we could afford a marquee signing for 2021

No longer registered to the D ogs,but we shld be courting Cory HN(=mobility plus desperately needed forward leadership) for later in the year when ban lifted ,and if JRs spot facilitates CHN then Im prepared to subsidise just a little more of JRs pot of gpld.
Along with retaining Grant and getting Packer either fit and motivated or medically retired(and replaced),that mite go close to finalizing our forward recruits for 2021
We can then focus on a 6(possibly Hastings returning from UK where hes killed it...but so did Austin.?.)and some more speed out wide......Cory/Nofa/Momo/Mybe are all "functional" but aren't gonna spread-eagle the opposition on a consistent basis

Agree completely. The bulldogs desperately need some heart back at their club. Josh Jackson is probably the only real long term leader they have atm and Reynolds could really have a positive influence on the younger playing group. Hopefully a financial arrangement can be sort that suits both clubs situation.

Probably depends on whether WT management want a bit of extra $$ in the bank for the rest of this season on the off-chance that a decent player becomes available for a mid-season transfer before the June 30 cut-off. We might be lucky enough to snare someone of quality if they want out of their club in a hurry?

Madge seems like a guy who is happy to bide his time. If that's the case, he'll want to plan carefully.

In saying that, mid year transfers can work in a way if you have the cap space because most other clubs are fully committed and cannot compete so it removes a multiple party bidding war that off-contract prospects tend to invite.
