Reynolds back to Bulldogs?

Geez some douche’s on this forum.

He deserves every cent of a contract we agreed with him for. He can’t help injuries. He has also carried himself trough all of his injuries, major off field drama & playing reserve grade in the most respected fashion.

He is entitled to every cent don't think he deserves it. He has not come even close to delivering what he is paid for. Win for Josh massive loss for us.

Yeah hap, and by better player I think we just gotta find a player that is a 'better' fit to our current needs.

Maybe a class speedy winger, or another quality young bull for the pack? A quality fullback is probably out of this price range.

We can cover 5/8 with Douehi, Madden, Mbye. I would be trying to get Nick Meaney for next year. He’s a fullback not a winger and DWZ is at the Dogs. He also kicks goals and Dogs have Hopoate.

If he stays, his career may end playing the level below NRL and that would be a disappointing finish for a Bulldog stalwart.

Funny I really don't agree. I heard some hype on Meaney when he was debuting for Newcastle and have since been thoroughly unimpressed. He can kick goals but he lacks size; not particularly fast either. He's like a Tim Moltzen build but without the pace or step.

If that's true we should sign my 12 yr old daughter - she's got more pluck than Moltzen ever had. On my list of the top ten "Biggest joke of a footballer to ever pull on a Tigers jersey" - I have Bwaith Anasta in positions 1 through to 9 and Moltzen as 10!

Sorry guys - just realised I have digressed - this topic is supposed to be about Reynolds to the Dogs.

On that issue, I think that it's a shame for whatever the reasons things have panned out the way they have for him, but realistically at the money we are paying JR we need to have a player who is in our starting team or at least our top 17 every week, and he isn't and probably shouldn't be. A move back to the Dogs will be the best for him, and for us as well.

Nick Meaney is underrated. I've never really seen him have a bad game. He's good under the high ball, fast, can pass, can kick goals. The Dogs suck and have terrible players across the park so their outside backs don't get the greatest of opportunities to show their wares. Don't sleep on him.
