The jury is definately out. IMO moltz did some good and bad today but I really think it's a bit early to get the knives out. Our biggest issue today was direction, there was next to none. Timmy hasnt really had a stable position since he's been back as lui and McKinnon have been performing well. He hasn't played a full 80 in a year and I think people need to appreciate that not too many players could rock up and have a stellar game, after so long, rebuilding confidence after a serious injury and slotting in as the utility the first few rounds. And I'm sure he'll do some great things and get a combo with benji going like he has in the past. Personally I think lui and moltzen are both potential halves although lui has stood up this year and really given the team direction and let benj use his running game. We can't drop moltz though, he adds spark to our attack and I could see him as a great fullback, slotting in as a 3rd receiver similar to Boyd for the dragons and hanging around the ruck looking for an offload. I was at the game today and I had a little food for thought on Utai - could it be worthwhile to use him off the bench later in the season as a strike back rower he's a tough nugget to tackle and makes plenty of yards?? thought I'd throw it out there.
Utai has been tried before at Dogs he seems to be allergic to tackling . Agree with everything else you said . i still think when we are at full strength that Moltzen could play wing but spend a lot of time sniffing around the ruck and sitting off MacKinnons hip He seems to find himself in the clear often enough and with a flyer like Moltzen to offload to could create more chances when we make breaks
Wingers dont hang around the ruck, fullbacks do…you dont see Lote or Utai doing that, do you?
Quick spread out the backs and wheres the winger?
Hanging round with farah...doesnt work :bash
