Im not even sure we need mentors that have played in about 8 semis in 16 seasons.

Oh God it just keeps on getting better and better in Tigertown. Never seen a mob want to hang onto past glory as much as ours, instead of thinking and moving forward. It's like watching re-runs of the Beverley Hillbillies or something.

Let's be honest, they've both saved our butts this year and nobody wanted them.

A far better result would be if they where a direct replacement for the 2 turncoats on the board who rolled over to greenberg it would be a win/win for us.Remove 2 cancers from the board and replace them with 2 blokes who are effectively finished as players but at least have shed blood and endured pain for WT.

Crazy is a word that comes to mind. Although I would not be surprised if the club is actually pushing for it. With our cap being in such a mess and both of them on reportedly modest contracts, they may see it as the only way to balance the books

Thanks but no thanks. These guys are on a downward spiral as time catches up with them. You would be better off with a young bloke with potential than a bloke that is past it. There have already been suggestions that they are being picked to allow them to bring up milestones.
On current form they probably should not be in the side, and I can't see them gracefully mentoring development players on the field in Canterbury Cup games.

Age is starting to catch up with Farah quickly. Marshall spending some out injured as well.
I concede that there's not much better but I highly doubt they would play for minimum salary so that money could be easily spent on a young/backup half elsewhere. I still think we need another hooker and I am not sure that having a 35 year old hooker and young fella with a history of injury as our first choices will play out well.
In real terms them coming back hasn't improved our position (yes, it's a team game etc,) so it might be time to let them walk into the sunset and move on.
