Laurie Daley tonight on @7NewsSydney says @robbiefarah will play hooker and the 6 jersey is for @tcarney06 to lose for origin @Y7News @NRL

Has Carney been playing this year? Barely heard his name mentioned. Halves combo of Pearce/Carney = another series for the good guys🙂

Of course Robbie will be there. He has probably been in the top 10 best players this year. Also i think Carney had a pretty good game first one back from injury, although i do agree that Maloney deserves it more. But saying that Carney has more creativity and that really helps in Origin and has been there for 3 games already.

agree that through the general sort of vibe i have been getting this year that maloney is tearing it up? i know he was the only player i even noticed (apart from our tiges) in the city country game.

without meaning to be contrary i think after last years series farah had already secured the no 9 for this one.

cant believe nate myles got player of the series ahead of him? still, i am a tiger and also a cockroach and think myles is crap…

Nate had a monster series last year. Watch him closely, he turns up all over the field and gets through a massive amount of work. Always chasing and is there for the next play. For a big guy he has a serious motor.

He's hard to miss because of his fat head.
Farah was a hundred miles (no pun intended) in front of him in the last series,

Carney was a one man show in cronullas last match against the dogs. He threw some great passes and was putting runners through holes at will. They dropped two over the line. I dont remember any of his others games so don't know how he went in them. Maloney has been very good this season. You tend to need to string a few excellent years together to get a gig in origin (unless you're Mitchell Pearce).

And let's hope Barba keeps up his quiet form. There's nothing more frustrating than coming up against a team that's been underperforming and playing them into form. A strong start is critical.

Thats good for Robbie, not so good for us but .
I guess its a chance for Masada Iosefa to shine in Farah's absence.

I would pick Joel Luani as #9 over Iosefa during the SOO period. Iosefa defence is nowhere near NRL standard.
